Yep, I was wrong on that. Thanks for correcting me on that. Did meet & talk to the drummer at this show & he was cool but very quiet. This show also featured GORGUTS & WITHERED EARTH who I interviewed as well. Lost all respect for DEICIDE after this show.
I remember filming Marduk in a small club where they played. I was in the very first row and the stage was at best half a meter high. The band did not mind the filming, neither did the staff.
I miss this line-up very much. Fredrik was very good but Emil brought some fresh winds to the drumming and become more recognized. Sadest of all was B.War departure as he was only their second bassist and became member of Marduk in the very begining after Rickard Kalm who left in 1992, so B.War (own name Rogger Svensson) was for 14 years in Marduk. Legion was having problems with voice and it was almost impossible for him to stay in metal bussiness for long for this, but was very good!!!
This is not the same Fredrik Andersson. It''s two different drummers who share the same (very common in Sweden) name. Check the photos.
The Marduk Fredrik played with ALLEGIANCE and TRIUMPHATOR but unfortunatelly I am unaware of his current whereabouts.... He never played with AA nor TE.
@TheRealSpectre That Frederik from Amon Amarth is another person. Frederik Anderson (ex-Marduk) plays in the band Allegiance with Bogge Svenson (B. War, ex-Marduk).
@TheRealSpectre Actually, Fredrik Andersson is a very, very common Swedish name. They're two different people. Fredrik of Amon Amarth is only in Amon Amarth and This Ending, he's explained it in several interviews before. Weird because they both ended up in extreme metal drumming!
No you are completely mistaking. He was never in Amon Amarth nor This Ending. That is a different drummer, with the exakt same name actually. He plays in both Amon Amarth and This Ending. The Fredrik Andersson in this video was fired from Marduk because he drank too much when they were out touring.
I was at the show. First of all Legion's performance was elite and hes a down to earth man. Meanwhile Glenn proved to be a total douche. After the show he wouldnt hang out with anybody. I guess its br00tal to be shitty to the few people on earth that don't completely think your an insane piece of shit? Anyways deicide sucked after the Legion (how ironic) LP anyways. I remember Gorguts performance being good. Who was the 4th band?
Yeah, he ripped on someone else for taping during their set. Their merch guy was the one who stood in front of my camera while my friend was shooting. I had permission to tape 3 out of the 4 bands that night & interviewed MARDUK & GORGUTS in front of the Hoffman brothers. The staff was very unpleasant as well. Thanks for the comment.

For me, this line-up was the best/classic, however I like the current one as well.

What ever happened to Fredrik after he left?
Legion was best. He has a good attitude and doesn't mind hanging out with fans.

@SatansRealm
I think he is in a band called ''This Ending''. He was also a member of Amon Amarth before joining Marduk.

For all I know Fredrik from Marduk works at a farm or something (at least what he told me when I talked to him a few years ago).
The other Fredrik Andersson is still in both This Ending and Amon Amarth.

legion was oo much better in marduk then now in devian, the music devian makes really doesn't sound too catchy to me -_-"
megidoflame 3 years ago
Legion was a lot better back in the Marduk days but I'm guessing he's just a little rusty now.. The more he tours the better he'll get.
I find the music in Devian a little catchier than Marduk... But Marduk's music is much more intense.
