I got the point rewound a few times and as you typed out Susan to "Listen to what he says as he hands the paper over" he distracted with the subway bit and how he was nervous about taking the subway but his friends said no its ok (Take it, Just Take it) bells went off in my head he does another one in GB where hes at the track and shows a stranger how to do it, Thankfully he gives the 2nd lady back the money after showing her the mistake. Believe you have the winning ticket, Project that belief.
Yes, on that one at the race track. Also notice how he slams his hand against the wall, it's unexpected and throws her mind off balance for a split second and he gives the directive.
If you think of hallucinogenics, our minds can be made to see things that aren't there and can have a 'collective' effect where one sees some new thing that isn't really there and then all around also see that thing. Like I said, our minds are the final frontier. Well, maybe 'next frontier' is more appropriate.
Proof that we are preconditioned to belief that handing over paper after a purchase it must be money. Just as we belief everything the massmedia tell us and accept it as true information.
He only distracted attention with his talk and made receiving an automated process.
That is why the wake up call can be heard everywhere. We are lied to as the shopkeepers were lied to and the biggest lie was 9/11 which is the key to open your mind to what is going on in our world.
The first thing he does is build rapport with the guy so that he lets down his guard a bit. I think that's why it doesn't work with the hot dog stand guy----no rapport.
And then there is a quick diversion or distraction which sets the mind into a mild confusion which is then looking for direction. Derren immediately swoops in with the direction (which is more like a command) and the confused or unbalanced brain follows. Watch some more of his stuff, you'll start to catch on. Research NLP.
This example of influencing people, without really washing their brains reminded me of the Stanford experiment. Look it up here on youtube, an awfull example of how students can be changed into 'devils'.
We have to watch our brains. But how to shield them off ? maybe these aluminium hats aren't that bad. :)
Yes, I was just watching a clip of that about an hour ago, how strange. I saw the whole documentary years ago---yes, amazing. And John ( i think his name was) when interviewed afterward made such a great point---He said, "no one ever questioned my authority. I just said do it and they did no matter how horrible". Also like the other experiment with giving the electric shocks which ironically Derren Brown did a modern day version of the experiment in one of his shows

I honestly do not understand how he was purchasing items with plain paper was it a fiction? or real?
And what was the point? showing how we're using fiat money?
or simply slight of hand / or? really was he hypnotizing them slightly?
Was he simply playing on the fact that they expected the money and so saw the paper as money even tho it was blank?
4k+ AND THE GUY DID NOT EVEN FLINTCH?!?
