Nice work mate! Interesting collect system with all the bags thrown on the top, never seen anything like it. Pretty cool how they sort everything on route there, don't hear about the system very often. Like the night action as well, all the flashing lights. Thanks for the share!
I agree on all points, MitchellM15, but...somehow the whole working process looks not very efficient to me. Why use man power if you have machinery? (because Thais are paid lower than Western people, I guess?)
The man who stay in hopper, are the one who arraging garbage by separate in group, like glass with glass and paper with paper. So will be easily for the recycling process to get on to do.
why don't the citizens do that before? in Germany, we have many different garbage cans, for all sorts of materials, and we use them.
white glass, colored glass, bio-waste, plastics, paper, rest of garbage, and in some cities even more. spares the garbage truck drivers a lot of time and work.
Every country is diffrent, I live in Thailand, they has 3 to 4 garbage can, but many people throw everything in to it, they never separate the can in order or group by recycling. So thats why here is a mess.
I like watching garbage truck compact and crushing garbage in the hopper.
But in future I will not be garbage man, I want to be vehicle engineer. Maybe I could experince repairing and fixing garbage truck and how awesome dirty in truck. LOL
Yea, better don't fall is danger, might destroy one car, but it won't fall because after the they done keeping garbage, those 4 guys will climb up to top of truck and sit there relax.
The large bags on top is the separated item from other route for recycle. In Thaland they separate trash immediately, bottle with bottle, glass with glass, etc. And after the bags is full and they throw to top of truck. Mostly the bags on the top of truck is bags with full of bottle and glass, and the rest of the trash they compact into the hopper. So will be easier for the recycle plan/process to arrange.

Nice, we did that once on a smaller scale. We had a 40 gallon bin strapped to the back for recycle when the recycle truck would break down.
