I cannot imagine someone tossing out this jewel! OMG, what a tragedy that would have been! I have no use for one of these, but I wish I could justify having one! They are just beautiful. Thanks for posting.

it's a fantastic piece of engineering. it's a completely analog tape recorder, it runs on batteries and for it's size, the audio quality is unbelievable. i have to get one of those for my field recordings.

Yeah, don't you just love it. It's so beautiful. I saved it from the skip 19 years ago because it was, as you say an amazing piece of engineering. I sold it on ebay last week and I was sorry to see it go. But c'est la vie, it's was time for someone else to appreciate it. It's nice to know there are fellow nerds out there. :-)
