I'm slovenian myself and yet I agree that Kopitar isn't better than Ovechkin and other big players. But that doesn't mean he isn't a great player himself. He's leading Kings this year almost on his own, exception is Quick who really does the job as a goalie. I'd say the only reason it's hard for our country to get to top competitions in hockey is because we are barely over 2 million in population. Sure Latvia is same but then you have to understand the next facts.

Latvia for example has real winters and hockey can actually be played by more people than in Slovenia since we don't have so many frozen lakes or actually none ^^. We have like what, 2 or 3 ice hockey arenas I don't know but I'm pretty sure it's not more than that. Low population + low amount of arenas. Big problem is most people from our country prefer playing shitty feminine men football over hockey. Try getting more people to play hockey like that then talk about super skilled people.

Penguins is Crosby, Malkin, Staal, and Gonchar the rest are average.
