Interesting fact about the radar: The 3000 simply plugged into a phone line and utilized dial up or a similar tool to pull the image.

@WhelenVTXR2 No It Didn't, an external source was hooked up to the unit via LOC_VIDEO on the back of the unit

@SpongeStorm4000: Russ Freeman & the Rippingtons to be exact. It's from the 1989 album "Tourist in Paradise". I know because I have the album.

@EStar7580 I have it too! Watching TWC in 1991 led me to buying Weekend in Monaco, and now I have everything The Rippingtons (Featuring Russ Freeman) has released!

The banner on the National Radar segment matches the 4000's Current Radar.
Then it must have been on there just a short time. Maybe only in 1990.

When was San Juan, Puerto Rico added to the list of cities on the TCF scroll?
ILovestorms 3 years ago
It was on the late '80s and early '90s Travel Cities Forecast. No more, however.
San Juan was not on the TCF scroll in the late 80s. In 1989, the last city on there was San Antonio, Texas.
San Juan was added in 1990 ans removed in 1991.
I've seen a TCF from July of 1989 that included Columbus, OH and Memphis, TN in place of other cities.
