@depthwave If you really have to ask how to bend an open ringing string, then I won't even dignify you with a response, because you obviously don't play guitar.
I completely understand the idea behind a string bender. But how does it really help your playing? Can you do more complex techniques since you don't have to bend the string? How does not bending the string manually improve your playing? Cant anyone do exactly what a string bender does
Well... I dunno about you, but do you have 3 hands? how do you do a chiming bend, or bend an open string normally? you can't... b bender lets you... it also makes regular bending easier, so you are open to do other things with it...
I am not really much of a country fan but it sounds like playing this kind of music would be good for any guitar player of any kind. It seems as if this could be applied to most applications and end up working out in the long run.
I'm a big fan of metal but as of lately I've been really interested in these b bender stuff and country licks. I can't really stand all this country that's on the radio. It's too whiny for me but I really want to learn some of this stuff. Where I live it's either blues jazz or metal for teachers. Where do you recommend that I go to learn more? Thanks. :D
Would jerks come on this page to talk crap to this guy? He's doing all guitarists a huge, free favor posting a demo of this newfangled device.and he plays really well.so keep it to yourself with the insults.
Lot a rude people out there, you're playing a style of guitar that most metal heads, or no talent rock and roll guitarists could play. I love the sound of b-benders, and think you got it going on man, keep on pickin!
All these different versions of a Tele that I never knew existed! This is awesome! I would say they're better than Gibson's "Robot Guitar". This is something that acutally requires skill. Nice job.

Ive read alot about people putting a brass sadle bridge on their teles. What exactly does that change? Does it improve the twang or keep it in tune better?

do you need a special bridge?,
i was wondering, i have a baja tele with the 52 reissue bridge.
would it fit my 52 reissue bridge?
TeddyboyEd 2 years ago
Im not a big hipshot fan
I use a Glazer bender
less movement,and more precise.
not a bad start though-get some
compression on that sharp fender tone
a little slap delay about 200-250 ms
and reverb, listen to will ray-hes the master
roseband1 2 years ago
Sounds Good Nolan and your video inspired me to get a hipshot also. Thanks

You are a douche bag. "I'm so trendy, I listen to generic 'indie' bands and leave comments on youtube about how much better I am than everyone else."

I think it makes the tone better the way the strings vibrate through the brass. It's the way all the original tele's were.

but tune the guitar!

It was when I started playing. It was an annoying problem, but once I lubricated all the key points and adjusted everything, it stayed in tune.
