  • Advertising for fucking commercial perfume IS SPAM ! Marvin wouldn't appreciate this ! Pour les francophones : arrêtez vos putains de citations de pub !

  • Oui M.

  • YES HE WOULD. TRUST ME.

  • Just listen to "What's goin' on" and you will really know about this awful commercial world ! Marvin would have prefered to have his music used for a real humane use ! Trust me !

  • On his funk cuts, Marvin really could get down with the best of them. I really think that his funk/disco stuff was some of his greatest.

  • èèèèèèèèè alto livellooo

  • didn't they used this song in a parfume adv with charlize theron??

  • Absolutely - the Dior perfume J'adore commercial

  • LOVE YOU MARVIN! GROOVE ON MAN!!

  • The insane funk of George Clinton and Funkadelic/P-Funk was surely an influence on this great funk jam. Great fun, it just shows how Marvin could turn his hand to almost anything.

  • yes you're right!!! mystic like "hurry tomorrow" by the temptations!!!! mystic magique a psychedelic funk sound !!!!!!!

  • Marvin was abusing cocaine, not acid.

  • Yeah! Such a funky song.

  • C'est ça que j'adore

    Dior...

  • dioooor :)

  • Thats a real cold jam! Oh YEah!

  • This was considered straight wack when it came out. But a 30-year relook changes our prespective (the Montreaux version, though, is sick!!!!). And what's up with the reference to "Little Miss Birdsong"; Cindy Birdsong was a Supreme, right?

  • Montreaux version RULES!!!!!!!

  • can't imagine why no one wouldn't like this song! it's awesome!

  • Is it me or does this song relate Marvin to EWF? I love this funky love groove.

  • I just found out this is Marvin Gaye. I thought it was Prince. Because I have only heard the snip in the commercial Hot and sexy! Then again it is Marvin.

  • I thought it was prince too. ..it' s called influences right ?

  • who got it from the dior commercial?

  • ONE bad Bad BAD MAN!!!!!

  • Anyone ever been to the Plutotarium? How is it?

  • Great, I got Plutotized there!

  • Unreal..... yet awesome.

  • Marvin could funk with the best of 'em. 25 years ago seems like only yesterday. DC and the World misses U Homeboy!!!

  • It's the same bassline as 'Anger'. Funky Four!

  • This song rocks! holy crap. I can soooo dig it. gettin down on the moon! Sing it Marv baby

  • Amazing song! May he rest in peace

  • We Gone Get Married in June...

  • Check out Blue Boy's "Funky Friday" which is a house re-interpretation of this. It's the hotness.

  • I already got this song!! Long versions both on lp and cd!!

  • i heard a snippet of this song on the J'adore commercial. kinda went into a frenzy to find out what the name of it. and here it is....youtube is awesome.

  • I did the SAME thing! Even though I'm a Marvin Gaye song, I feel like I should've already known about this song, because it's amazing!

"I'm sendin ya'll to the Plutitarium, so ya'll can get plutitized.."

  • Marvin Gaye is the Messiah.

A new era started on april, 4 1984, when his father shot him dead...

  • lol....man im sooooOoOooOOoo Happy i found this song Buddies :-) I love it in that dior commercial!!!!!.....We gone get Married N June...mmm mmm....Watch OUt LiL Marvin Ha aha

  • That groove has always been classic... It's hard to pick a favorite album w/ all of his classics, cuz all of them are my favorite. But Here, My Dear is definitely one of my main recommendations for an album from Marvin Gaye

  • adore it

  • haha, this song is on the J'adore commercial.

  • love it!

  • Classic cosmic soul.

  • i cant find this too download :(

where can i get it? or can any1 send me it..

  • he had me at "you and me gonna be gettin down on a space bed" lol

  • we gone get married in june

  • love it, what a legend.

    fucking love the advert too

  • I always thought this was Lenny Kravitz when I heard the commercial...and it sounds like his style a little. LOL, wow great tune Marvin.

  • I've been looking for this song for ages!!!

  • i luvv this song ;]

    from the commerical

  • I remember my Mom playing this song then its on that new commercial .. I LOVE IT !!!

  • i was looking 4 this song 4ever i love it

  • whatta a tune :)

luv teh beginning bit on advert ;)

  • DAMN...I got hooked on this song just by watching the commercial with my girl Charize...The beat, her walk, her throwin' good jewelry . In the European version, they show her walk naked into the bathroom...Great ass too !!!

  • I thought it was Nina Simone!

  • gettin' down on a space bed. HA! only marvin can say things like that!

  • when you just listen to the song you wouldn't think that it would have gone well with the commercial but it does. love the song

  • I love Musiq Soulchild's version of this song. I love this song. The J'Adore commercial made me wanna go spend $110 on a once *_*

  • YES! Musiq's song is called "Until". I can't stay off of that track. My mom and aunts used to play alot of Marvin Gaye's music, and I remember when this one used to float through the air of the jumpin' ass get together they had. This was off the chain!

  • Yeah man that Musiq track is fire constant repeat. Ever since I heard the Dior commercial I was tryna find out wat song it was! after hearing this song I made the Musiq connection GREAT SAMPLE!

  • I remember my mom and aunts used to jam to this back in the day. I can still remember how they used to have get togethers over my aunts, and my cousin used to call himself dancing! LOL! I was only around 4 or 5 when this came out, but I remember this song so well!

  • damn when you think about it old school music beats new music anyday

  • I can digg that!!!

  • I had never heard this song until the commercial. I LOVE it.

  • This song fits that commercial soooo well. Charlize looks amazing, and her walk fits to the beat, of course. The whole thing rocks.

Marvin Gaye is the real thing. Too bad very few artists make music this good anymore.

  • charlize look so damn gud n dat commercial

she was killin dat runway walk to da beat!! amazing

  • Charlize Theron walking to a Marvin Gaye backtrack... PURE SEX!!

  • I've never heard this Marvin tune before but recognized his voice instantly on the advert and looked it up. Now this is what I call a PHAT GROOVE! Just ridin' that riddim!

  • I knew it was Marvin Gay singing the jadore theme song and who ever made the comment when Music was real,You are right Thank God for music Back in My Day.

  • i just put this on the ipod

  • When music was real. The singers had talent and passion for what they were doing. They weren't commercial or studio singers.

  • memin14...if it takes a commerical to turn people on to Marvin's music, so be it.

  • Marvin Gaye was the man!!!!

  • ya same here the dior commercial turned me on to this song

  • musiq sampled this for his new cd!

  • yes! an I LOVE IT! Musiq is the truth.

  • This is the single edit.

  • i love the fog machine action!

marvin gaye is an earth angel.

  • It's not a fog machine, it's called Dry Ice which is a chemical reaction that makes it heavier and denser which is why it hangs lower to the ground and not all over the place like a fog machine. Check out the old Hammer House of horror films in the graveyard scenes to see the same effect. People hardly use it these days because of the time factor, shame because the dry ice fog effect is the real deal and a fog machine is just as insulting as karaoke is to live music.

  • ok. thanks for the education... it makes sense that dry ice is more condensed than a fog machine. the effect is very cool.

  • I want to get down on the moon.

  • He was a sexy fine built pretty hunk of crooning man.

  • wat a great song !!!!!!!!

  • I am a avid roller skater. When they play this song I am in a different world. If you were still here Marvin, OMG...I can't even imagine.

  • the album was part of the divorce settlement. all the proceeds went to his ex-wife. great album. when did u stop loving me, sparrow, etc.

  • I brought that reissue on c.d.the songs I heard including that of "Is That Enough?"made my skin crawl because of that divorce settlement taking his own fustrations out on Ana it wasn't her fault though.

  • KNOW JIVE THE GREATEST

  • Dior J'adore !

  • i wish he could be reincarnated ...for my pleasure!!!...this is sho nuff funky!

  • smooth as fuck.

  • maybe the best countdown. Eight! Everything is Straight! Can't get enough.

  • Sheer Class. This is definately one of Marvin's cocaine inspired songs. Unique.

  • I still miss him, terribly:(

  • Did yall know that this song was part of that Album that he made that he said he hated every song on it, and he diliberately tried to make the songs as wierd and bad as he could because he didnt want it to sell. Because the proceeds were going to his exwife as some kind of divorce settlement. I hard the album when it came out (78 or 79) and it sounded fine to me. I guess even Marvin's "bad" music is good.

  • not true...the album was called Here, My Dear (actually considered by Rolling Stone as one of the top 500 albums). At first, he hated the material, but towards the tail end, he ended up liking the album.

this video is just a short version of the song..for more from this album, check out 'Anna's Song'

  • You are right.

  • No. Wrong. Initially he wanted to record a bad album, but after he started recording the deep feelings came to the surface and the rest of the recording process captured these and eventually produced the songs that comprised Here, My Dear LP.

  • That album is 'Here My dear' and you are correct! Even his less inspired songs are equally as good as he very inspired works. Artistic integrity is never comprised by an true artist!

  • Funky !!!!!

  • masterpiece!

  • Oh boy, this is it! Can't get any funky than this.

  • fuck ! this groove is goin' down, man! holy shit! what a man.

  • Very retro..Love it.

  • he got 3 versions to this song the other 2 is anger

  • snoop bit this fuck a sexual seduction

  • Great!!!!!!!! Disco-Marvin Gaye. Light-years from the romantic style Motown songs. He is wonderful anyway.

  • Straight smooth love tune.......he was a cool cat.

  • Awesome song! thanks for posting.

  • look at my baby get down. Can't nobody touch him when it comes to talent.....

  • TRUE HE THE GREATEST!

  • Album about a lost love -> Hear my dear. One of the Best!!!!

  • THAT ALBUM IS THE SHIT!!!!!!!!

  • Pretty cool stuff

  • omg!! yeah, this is some cool vintage stuff. Marvin rocks!!

  • "you little Miss Birdsong, you follow me..." I love it! Marvin was the man! LOL!

  • I think he was living in the back of a van

shortly after this. Still gotta love him.

  • This song is so funky!!! Love it!!!

  • OLD IS GOLD

  • Marvin the funkateer! I've always loved this track. It's still "light years ahead" of today's music IMO.

  • From what I know, this is off the "Here, My Dear" album. Proceeds from all the album's projects were pocketed by his divorced wife, pursuant to court ruling.

  • Funky, extraterrestrial and with a heavy theme of reincarnation. Is this the funkiest video ever made or what?

  • Cosmic...like he's been beamed down from another world.

  • was one of the ole school tunes we used to step to in chicago. the entire 12 minutes of the song

  • Have you seen Christian Dior's perfume commercial where they play this song?... Intoxicating!

  • Yea with Charlize Theron, she's looks beautiful i was like my my my she is FIERCE!!!!!!!!!!1 LOL

  • yea! i was looking for this song based off the commercial alone!!!
