Technical difficulty is not necessarily the pinnacle of the art. Simply squeezing more notes into the same amount of time does not make one the superior artist. I will take simply constructed pieces played with dynamic feeling and expression over technically difficult (albeit impressive) pieces that tend to be frenzied at best and generally seem to be at the edge of the artist's capability. Besides, not that you should care....haha, but Bach's cello suites are some of my favorite.
