@Cyberktk I USED TO think the same when the song first came out, because I was a big fan of their darker, alternative stuff and was disappointed in the direction they were taking circa '83/84.

Thing is, you've got to understand the British sense of humour and the concept of "taking the piss" out of one's self (self-parody) in order to appreciate this song.

Plus, it's just soooo darn cute n' CATchy, how can anyone resist?! :D There's also a jazz sensibility hidden in the bones of this song.
