@LukaRaPtoR ya never know, if he cleaned up he might not even do music. careful what you wish for and never forget the other greats who Cleaned up and faded away.
@scumgod13 LOL Shane MacGowan has faded away. His music lives on and will do forever. But he has gradually faded into the background. And thats why I want him to clean up. So he can come forth and let his presence be known once again. Sadly its never gonna happen. There are only so many drunken incoherent interviews of him I can watch on youtube before faith is lost.
you mustn't know much about shane if you think hes going to die this year. he is still is lead singer of the pogues, if he was really as i'll as people say he is he wouldnt be singing. search "RONNIE DREW gerry ryan's documentary" in the video look at 5 41-5 48 and 8 29-8 53
theres a recent interview of shane. people have been saying for years hes probally gonna die soon and hes still living. hes a legend and has contributed alot to irish music and will do for years to come.
I hope he doesn't die as well but on the other hand, people have been saying that for decades now. The first time I saw him (back in the mid-1980s) someone made the comment that if he continued to indulge the way he did, he surely wouldn't live to see the end of the decade. It was a safe bet - when you considered all of the visionaries who fell to it over the years. The only lesson here is to never bet against Mr. MacGowan. No matter what, he always seems to get the last laugh.
That's funny, hearing everyone shut up when he starts singing, reminds me of growing up and all the old boys getting together, breaking out in songs after the first 5 guinesses.
NO! He knewe this one from when he was a kid. It's an old Irish song. Even i sang it on you-tube. Lovely song.. The best, and Shane used to do this sometimes, may still do when he feels to do so, i can only guess..
