@Punkouttacontrol go check out the comics. theyre sickk. probably one of the best ever made. definitely my favorite chunk of my comic collection. i mean youd really have to hunt them down if you want the originals. but they sell them in graphic novel form at most bookstores.

This movie was so fun to watch

The pros: The animated sequences, the soundtrack, the acting, the setting, and the character designs.

The cons: The plot...but if you haven't read the comics(like me) that isn't much of a problem.

Yeah I had a hard time appreciating the movie since I grew up with that comic (true story, no joke.) BUT in the end I found myself loving it despite the huge difference. Lori Petty did such an awesome job, and the animated sequences are freaking awesome too.

Both very different, both very awesome.

Let me just tell you that the movie has more of a 'plot' than the comics ever really do. The comics are just ... absolute chaos. But I love them anyway.

It's because it's not a very good movie in all fairness. It is however an incredibly, incredibly enjoyable movie. It just depends on which of those scales you use to rate movies I guess. It's shit, but it's AWESOME shit.

Like Surf Ninjas. It's not a timeless classic by any means, but it's like Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, or Wayne's World. Movies like that (such as, of course, Tank Girl) are very enjoyable to watch if you're not nitpicking plotholes or other flaws.

(Air guitar) Well, I found that the Nostalgia Critic, at least as his character (I'm not sure about Doug himself) really hates Surf Ninjas and Tank Girl. And there are also movies that lots of people love that I didn't, such as Tokyo Godfathers and Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea, and at least the first ten minutes of American History X. (Well, Ponyo was okay, but it seemed like something one would see on Nick Jr IMO.)

Well. That's a matter of taste of course but I think they've lost everything that is good with the comic in the film. And it looks cheap compared to the feeling you gewt in the comic. According to me, the only thing it has in common with all that is great in the book shape is the name. Glad you like the comic too though.
