Saw is much better than Hostel. When you take away the traps in Saw, it's still a psychological thriller. It has a great story, philosophy, good characters.
When you take away the torture in Hostel, it's nothing. The whole movie is based on torture scenes, without them it couldn't exist.
Saw uses blood and gore to emphasize the effect of the movie while Hostel is torture porn.

Personally, I think that SAW(1-6) is better. I really like Hostel 1 (haven't seen # 2) but in my opinion they took too long getting to the horror part as most of the movie was just naked chicks walking around and when the gory stuff does happen it's short and fairly predictable. But in SAW you get to the action quickly and have the suspense of seeing the character try to get out of the game before the really sick stuff happens. Both are good though and worth watching at least once.

I came across this clip purely by accident while searching for something else. And since Youtube starts the video without consenting I happened to see it. I enjoy movies and had heard about this one beforehand, but had no desire to see it. And watching this clip-the only part of the movie I have ever seen--reinforces my opinion of it. This type of "movie" is nothing but torture porn. While it may give the future Jeffrey Dahmers and John Wayne Gacy's of the world a hard-on, it's otherwise shit.

ok every1 respond to this and tell me what u think: Saw (any of the Saws 1-6) or Hostel? Which is better/scarier? I think after you see 1 or 2 of the saw's they arent as scary but still awesome, but I wont even WATCH hostel, that shit is just too fuckd up for me.

Personally, I think that SAW(1-6) is better. I really like Hostel 1 (haven't seen # 2) but in my opinion they took too long getting to the horror part as most of the movie was just naked chicks walking around and when the gory stuff does happen it's short and fairly predictable. But in SAW you get to the action quickly and have the suspense of seeing the character try to get out of the game before the really sick stuff happens. Both are good though and worth watching at least once.
