dude pkmn diamond is a DS gmae, ds gmaes ((and the ds series) did not have region locking. region locking was introduced with the dsi, dsiware and dsi only cards. anything after 2009 for dsi/3ds only will be blocked

Nintendo 3DS is Region Locked ONLY for 3DS Games

and Nintendo DS Games ARE NOT

Example

1. A Japanese/Pal/Us Nintendo DS game + Japanese/Pal/Us 3DS = Works

2. A US 3DS Game (Pokemon Rumble Blast US version) + Pal 3DS = Will not work

So Far there is NO WAY to Have a Nintendo 3DS become Region free

Normal DS games never had region-lock to begin with... only games with DSi specific enhancements, like the Japanese versions of Pokémon Black and White. There are exceptions, like the other region versions of Pokémon Black and White but I also heard that there are games that have no DSi enhancements but are still region locked. (Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! supposedly has it)

And no, Pokémon Diamond never had a region-lock.

You do know, that only 3DS games are region locked right? I've had the Japanese 3DS Unit since Feb launch, and been playing US NDS Games.

What you should do, is to IMPORT a 3DS GAME from Japan and try again, then you will see how pointless this video is.

All DS games were completely region free. It would make no sense to suddenly region lock them when making a new console. Nintendo just wants to prevent future piracy by region locking 3DS games.

More specifically they are DS games that uses the feature of the DSi such as the camera. I haven't heard of anything called advance internet. All the games uses the internet to play online so I'm going to assume that advance internet doesn't really exist

about the internet, the DSL had maximum of 3 internet connection.

the DSi have 3 for DS games and for what you said the other can be also used by the DSi games like pokemon black and white.

if you got a DSi go into the internet options nd you will what i was talking about

Yeah I get you. Basically this is just used for those people who want to enter in your primary/secondary DNS (won't go deep into it) and those who has static IP (in my case I have dynamic so I use normal setup).

However, all DS games work, no matter what the region is, but the 3DS are semi-fully dedicated to the region (aside from StreetPass and Online Play).
