snapon is not the best, best tools is brands like gedore, koken, hazet, stahlwille.snapon is best just in usa.it same like compare to cars.....american vs. german or japanesse.......which is better, for sure not a usa cars or tools....LOL
i have one of these and an older 3/8 drive ingersol rang Composite. the Ingersol Rand has More power then the Snap-On. sorry Snappy! you didn't win this one. :-)
i think it should be said that this gun, as great as it is, should NOT be used as a 1/2 replacement. sure in a pinch it can be. but repeated use WILL cause anvil failure if used to replace the 1/2 inch imo. i think thats why so many techs have anvil related failures. mine was 2 years old and the only issue i had was the leaky trigger issue. never had it rebuilt but traded up anyway.
Snap on came through for me as I have stated I have had a mg31 for many years and the front seal went out. I sent it in for repair and they did upgrade it however the front seal still leaked. I sent it in a second time got it back did it again so my dealer gave me a brand new in the box mg325. That is service and backing your ass up!
had mine 3 months ,powerful but the anvil actually started to wear away even though i only use with snap on impact sockets it needed to be replaced, ive got at five different snap on air guns and a ct4850 and they are great though
I just bought one of these and I also have an Aircat 1300-th. I tested it against the aircat and it has a bit more power, but is noisy as hell so I decided to use the aircat at work and keep this one for at home. Besides, it's too nice of a gun to use at work and get all scratched up.
As I stated below I got my mg31 back from repair and noticed it had more power. Heads up to anybody with the older mg31 if you send it in for repair they upgrade it by putting a mg325 motor in it so mine is now the same as the new 325.
I got a Snap on MG31 3/8 impact and I love it! I also got the big brother the MG725 I've took some big shit off with it and sheared bolts too but I also run 225 PSI. Loud and Proud Bitches!
I also have a MG31 bought it when they came out it kicks ass. After all these years useing it everyday I just sent it in for repair as the front seal started leaking got it back and its like new again.
try aircat 3/8 gun , has more power and quieter and cheaper , did i mention it has 400 ft pounds of torque , i use it like i use the 1/2 inch , i take out lug bolts with my 3/8 aircat , and i have it 3 years already , snap on overpriced , ya it is a bit lighter but i rather have the power , bunch of wimps the new generation of techs with the guns being to heavy for them .
aircat i would choose over snappy tools .
and as for air ratchets , check out sumake , website a 3/8 ratchets w 90 ft lbs
@orlexfiallos I can take lug nuts of all day every day with my 3/8 snap-on impact . My 1/2inch air cat took a shit after 2 years, so I will never buy one again . I will only buy IR, or if I can afford it snap-on from now on .
aircat is taiwan junk your full of shit go get your aircat tested and see how many ft lbs it really has bet it is less than half of what they claim. If you used it for 3 years then you must have only used it once a month.
good most of the time, still have to bust out the 1/2 inch quite frequently, its awesome though when you snake it in to a tight spot and you get a bolt, mac has a slightly more powerful 3/8 gun, not by much but its also way quieter
Got one of these at work, it is fucking awesome to use but so loud you need ear muffs to use it. I asked my Snap On rep about a muffler for it like you can get on the 1/2 inch variant but he said there is no listing for a 3/8 muffler.

I've got one- Awesome in tight spaces, tons of power. I don't think it's that loud. Quieter than the IR 1/2" the tech in the bay next to me has
