  • i missed your videos i had to come back on to youtube and watch them your videos are the best

  • In my experience, the bushing tool is a must for Kimber 1911s. The recoil spring cap does not have the nice textured flat surface that my Ruger 1911 has.

  • daaaang, pretty face and gun smarts? that's hot.

  • Ok my goodness ! I love you !!!!

  • Good video lady. You look very nice today.

  • Guess what i did while i watched this..........cleaned my gun!

  • nice to see some one who knows what 1911s are all about. would like to see you shoot them some time! thanks..

  • Wow! You are a ultimate 1911 expert.

  • I liked the video, especially the way you were able to field strip 3 different 1911's and reassemble them correctly. I liked it when you said 'I would show you how to remove the KIMBERS 2 stage spring assembly but I don't want to', that made me laugh. Keep up the good work on these videos, I can learn from all is my MOTTO. FYI, there is a slip on tool made of plastic that holds the spring slightly compressed, it aids on the takedown and is better suited then the metal wire suppplied by KIMBER.

  • so cute 1911 Presenter i like this..

  • Good to see a woman exercising her right to defend herself.

Also interesting to see one so fond of 1911s.

    Keep it up.

  • WOW she hot when she holding the gun

  • when you pointed the handguns at the camera i put my hands up

  • Great video!

What model and manufacturer is the small "defender" 1911?

  • I enjoy your gun videos and must say, you are great to listen to and look at ! Thank you !

  • Pretty Lady

  • On your springfield armory 5 1911 do you have custom trigger?

  • idk what it is but there is just something thats calming and soothing watching you disassembling and talking about guns.

  • Professional, organized, and she actually has reviewed her material before speaking to the camera. Well done girl! Are you military or law enforcement? Or just an informed citizen?

  • Limalife. Thank you for explaining that to us. My bad. As I watched more of your videos, I came to realize that judging from your apparent experience and sense of responsibility, that there must have been something I missed.

  • I like this lady's videos, but it does seem like she isn't always looking down the barrel when she racks the slide to check that the gun is empty. Without looking, she could just as easily have chambered a round instead.

  • @erikwood In most of my videos (especially the older ones) my camera is nothing more than the webcam on my computer and I see everything I'm doing on my computer screen. Everything I show "you" I see myself and so when I show "you" that the firearm is clear I'm seeing it myself. Not to mention that all firearms are triply safety checked before recording ever even stars.

  • @erikwood As my old USAF D.I. used to say 'YA WON'T DO THAT AGAIN NOW WILL YA? (sorry for the CAPS lock just had D.I. flashbacks) really though, we were taught to clear the weapon and handle it in the 'safely cleared fashion' with the breech/slide locked back. Some individuals without military training may think just racking the slide is sufficent. It only takes 1 round of ammunition to ruin your day. (see DI comments). She seems to be very knowledgeable, she stated the weapon cleared before.

  • She's a knockout!!. And, she knows her iron!!.

  • Should be standard issue for every American at birth ;)

  • I was joking =)

  • shes reading a script! And for God sake teach her not to point guns at people on you tube would please! I bet she sucks the blueing off the gun good! lolShe full of crap she belongs in the kitchen! She has no idea wgat she is saying .

  • hot

  • Your husband is a lucky man. My gf is scared to shoot a .22.

  • vaca

  • Thanks for taking the time. Good stuff.

  • You are beautiful, and you like guns! Where have you been all my life!?

  • hey she is good at what she does and besides hot girls with guns rock !

  • I'd rather watch you disassemble your clothes, to be honest.

  • wow you are badass ;)

  • you are one of the coolest girls ever

  • the woman is really cute, but damn I see a ring :(

  • If it ain't a Colt or one of the defense contractors under license from Colt, it's NOT a 1911. It's a copy or a clone. You refer to them as 1911 "type" pistols, if you wish, but not a 1911. Good job with the various types of this pistol, however. I like seeing girls who have and know there guns. I think all women should avail themselves of guns for self defense. Exactly why I taught all my daughters about guns and how to maintain them. Even bought them their first pistol. Keep up the good work.

  • Don't listen to the haters. Good stuff, especially the explanation of the difference between bushing and no bushing, etc.

  • i just purchased a rock island 1911. your videos ar very helpful as it pertains to field stripping and just plain general knowledge. keep up the good work...you rock!!!!!!!!!

  • This was a VERY, VERY, helpful video. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! I got over 1000 rounds thru my TRP and have not clean it because I did not how to clean it.

  • everyone mocks her cuz shes a girl wth lol

  • I like the gov. model; traditional is nice.

    Good vid!

  • Goes to show you you don't have to be a redneck to know a lot about guns =D.

    Thumbs up

  • could you do a desert eagle .44 and .50 tutorial? im trying to find a new weapon and i dont have much free time to go to gun stores and check them out, im in a time crunch pretty much 6 days out of the week,, and you make great vid tutorials. thanks

  • lol, what's up with the comments about this being confusing for a novice? I've only shot a handgun once and have never disassembled one and I did not find this at all confusing... three different guns did not add any level of difficulty keeping track of what was happening especially since each of the pieces were easily identified, nothing I saw really looked identical on any of the guns... None the less this video was cool to watch and informative, thanks.

  • Ignore the negative comments. You do an excellent job with your videos and they perfectly serve the purposes for which I believe they are intended. Critics who want to attend armorers school should enroll in one.

  • Very helpful. Despite what some might think/say, your videos are very interesting, and fun to watch, for a natural gun lover such as myself.

  • jrmagsakay, NORINCO CAL .45 M1911 A1 C is good and nice

  • P L E A S E, do a assm and dis assm of a series 80s Colt firing pin safety slide and receiver. Lot of people are looking for it and there is no reference on the internet.

  • I really like her! She taught me something,

and her voice is very calming. I'm going to watch her take those pistols apart when I feel stressed. By the way, she is very cute!

  • thats pretty complicated,im glad to be a glock

    owner

  • i wish i had met a girl who had 3 1911's at home...

  • stop pointing that at me or I will shoot my monitor!!!! :D

  • I think you should point your camera down at the table ever so slightly so at least we were able to see what you just put away and what was at hand, you know.

... just saying, cuz I think it would be easier for the viewer to review what you already took of...

    :s

  • Great informative videos on the 1911 plus I think you are very cute and have a MUCH better voice then most of the shitty 1911 videos on youtube.

  • Dear Lima,

jimgiunta....sshhhhmuck... just because their obviously tiny brains cant follow the take down and reassembly of more then 1 gun at a time doesn't mean it's a no-no LMFAO. ppl like that totally missed the point. Anyway I've seen a few of your videos online and I just wanted to say, It's really cool to see a girl with a genuine interest in guns.... the way they work.... and shoot.... and have a passion for the hobby. NO NOOB!! lol, you look beautiful with the blond hair by the way.

  • previous post @jimgiunta

  • jimgiunta Leave this woman alone and chill out. Your subtle threat of her being sued is just a joke.

While I am not an expert on all 1911 makes and models I am a well trained in many weapons(thank you marine corps). I also own serveral of my own to include a commander style 1911.

Limalife, I Agree this video is NOT a dissasembly video. I was not 100% sure on the full workings of the slides on the bull barrels. Now I have a better idea thank you.

And dont let the haters keep ya down!

  • well done dear lady. You know your stuff.

I get a bit of a laugh at you having three different versions of 1911. And you are familiar with all three. Bravo!

I used to disassemble and reassemble the 1911 blindfolded but it has been 41 years. Don't know if I could still do it. I reckon the time has come to buy myself a nice, original "government issue" 1911and re-familiarize myself. Pray I never "need" it, but fear the time is coming. Boy Scout motto, "Be prepared."

  • I keep it simple for the simple.

  • go away and die! u r annoying!....

are u any kind of an antigunmotherfucker???

i guess u r an 12 year old boy which is still dressed by his mom...

  • Good. I don't want novices to take this video as instruction on take down. That wasn't the point of the video. The point of the video was to show how different 1911s can be and that watching a generic take-down video may not be enough to learn about your own specific firearm.

And exactly why can't you have multiple firearms disassembled at once? I'm not sure why that is such a no-no.

  • Well, I'm not a novice. You could take all of my handguns, disassemble them and throw their parts in the box, shake it up and dump it on a table and I could put them all back together with not so much as a recoil spring being put in the wrong firearm.

And, in the description of my video I specifically say, "I hope to show that it is necessary to pay close attention to your manual.." Note: I said manual.. not me.

I also say as much in my video. Not sure why that steps so heavily on your toes.

  • hey buddy what is your profession

  • @jimgiunta I think you are the only one that is confused.

  • @limalife Everytime I do work on a 1911, I can't help but feel for the soldiers in WWI and WWII who had to field strip their 1911 while under fire.

  • @jimgiunta I would not tell a novice to buy a 1911. A 1911 is not really for a novice user. This weapon is for a more experienced shooter. limalifes video is a good video for field stripping a 1911. Anyone with eyes can see the different parts as she disassembles and reassembles each weapon. If you are so stupid that you cannot take down a 1911 after this video, then you do not need to own a 1911. It is not rocket science!

  • limalife, you look very sophisticated in this vid. There's a victorian feel about your hair, your voice, and even the dresser. but then came the full size 1911 and I was like, "Yup. She likes it big." :)

  • talk about marriage material...

    Her hubby's a lucky man

  • Yes indeed.

  • Goddamn, I love a woman who knows how to use her hands. Look at you, working all earnestly.

  • Ah yes, the original springfield 1911.

Designed to be easy to disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble.

Not a high speed weapon, it was deliberately designed to have tremendous knockdown power.

Safe, reliable, and dependable since 1911. Ninety eight years and counting.

  • What manufactuerer made your Commander size?

  • Wilson Combat.

  • Thanks. If the Browning family still had the 1911 patent they'd be richer than Bill Gates. I ever tell you the Kimber was made in my hometown?

  • What one of these is the most accurate?

  • you're awsome!!

  • If she is not married then I call dibs! Oh wait........I saw a ring. DAMN! :(

  • I see what you did there..

  • old ephram.. LMFAO..sinegra o.o...

dude she is like those epic lethal babes you only find in videogames and movies.

    therefore, we must drool :D...

  • lol yes we must drool. =O~~~

  • bahhh *drools*.. :[}~@

    shes hawt...

I like the para ordnance battle 1911's, especially the 14 round hi cap competition shooters. very rugged with the old 1911 reliability and defeating the complaints of a low mag capacity of 7 rounds. It even beats the USP's 12 rounds. very nice model.

  • They are nice as far as capacity is concerned but for my little hands they are WAY too thick. I can never get a comfortable grip.

  • Great vid. I was wondering what your opinion of the Taurus PT1911 is. Good buy for the money? Reliable?

    Keep up the good work!

  • The jury is still out on them for me. I have seen some scary stuff from the Taurus PT1911 and let's just say I won't be buying one... Not for a LONG LONG LONG LONG time.. if ever.

  • I love a woman who knows how to firmly grasp a cannon....

  • Monkeys can't vote ether :P

  • girl you're hot! young and smart! marry me please! im a doctor!

  • Holy sh1t, freeze at 3:09.

Btw It's not the size of the gun, It's the shooter.period.

  • bereta is the besste

  • You're crazy, The best paper weight maybe.

  • Unbelievable. Finally, someone on YouTube talking about handguns that actually knows what they're taking about.

Good for you young lady, and although I have plenty of comments that I'll keep to myself, these are excellent instructional videos for anyone who owns a handgun.

    Well done.

  • ill stick with the glock i dont want to play puzzle games

  • lol fuck, that is one house a robber should never try and rob. That chick has 6 guns total from her combined videos!

  • Glocks are good but most of the owners of Glocks say negative things about the 1911 because a Monkey can't take it apart.

    haha

  • This is why I love Glocks

  • do they know about your secret life down at the PTA? :) It not hard to watch your videos. and smart too!!

  • After 9:25, "make sure you read your

manual and see which " what does she

    say?

  • see which steps need to come first

  • thanks!

  • glock is better 10/1

  • it all depends on the one thats shooting it

  • Cmon... it must be her hubby doing all the work XD....

Bet shes very good in maintaining/cleaning them... awesome.

    Dangerous lady :)

  • Beautiful, blonde and likes handguns? Hmmm.... Pam Tillis said it best... "All the good ones are gone..."

  • damn!!!! , i seen that wedding ring well, good job lady you're hot nice work, i'm sad after i seen that ring finger i almost had a mental break down lol jp thanks for tha vid

  • And what did I say that would give you a thumbsdown for? If you're not familiar with handguns or handgun controls, the slide stop on a 1911 would probably screw you up in a crisis situation. Simplicity is the key to self defense. A glock merely rack the slide, chamber a round and defend yourself. Beginner's need simple, easy to use, "idiot proof" as it were choices before the advance into better qualities.

  • How, exactly, would a slide stop on a 1911 be any more hazardous than a slide stop on a Glock? They have the exact same function: they lock back the slide after firing the last cartridge.

And as far as racking the slide, chambering a round and shooting is concerned.. Yep, you can do that on a 1911 too.

  • Actually I misspoke, or in this case, wrote a typo. I meant thumb safety. The trigger safety (if you can even call it that) is much simpler than that of a 1911 or an HK or some other pistol with a basic Browning design. Additionally, as you probably know but a beginner wouldn't, is that an improper or loose grip won't properly engage the grip safety.

Again, this is just my opinion. We're just sharing opinions here. You're not right and I'm not right. It all comes down to proper training.

  • your just a glock fan.

  • actually i can't stand them.

  • ah..

    my bad then.

  • Disengaging the thumb safety should be part of your draw. Also, getting a sight picture takes a hell of a lot more time than gripping the pistol in the first place.

  • yet again, you know this because you have experience with it. a beginner might not. this is all that I'm saying.

  • sold my G30 and bough a 1911. there

  • congratulations? lol. i'm about 200 from a Nighthawk Custom talon II

  • Sig is always a great gun. Sig over Glock any day of the week. P220 are always badass. The 228/9 are always nice.

Personally, I'd go with an HK USP40F or HK45, maybe even a Mark23 if you could still get them.

  • you're great! ;Þ

  • I would sure hate to cut YOU off in traffic.

  • hey i see you talking about the rock island armory 1911. i got mine, yesterday, for 380 including s&h...new in box!

just thought i'd let you know. i got it online at gunbroker and it came from a hardware store in nashville. they probably have more!

  • Are you friggin' kidding me? Where the hell has she been all my friggin' life? I don't believe what I'm seeing. My brain can't register this.

  • what is a good camander size 1911 for home protection and target and i dount have that much money to spend

  • pkruskamp, take a look at the Rock Island Armory 1911 commander, pretty nice pistol, look hard though! i got mine for only $485

  • `1911s aren't particularly good for home defense unless you're good with handguns IMO. If you're a beginner, I'd go with a Glock. it's not the highest quality weapon but it will pretty much shoot every time you need it.

  • I'm not saying you're a beginner, I just got that feeling from your post, no offense.

  • None taken :) i dont really like glocks, i know tons of people swear by them...just feels...funny, for lack of a better term, i'll stick to my 1911s till i find something i like, maybe a Sig

  • WOW!!! Perfect gun and perfect woman...So pretty and very intelligent... I would marry you and if you have a man already he is very very lucky... very very lucky

  • put your tongue away retard, making a foll of yourself

  • A foll. Really?

  • wrong house to break into

  • i know eh? its like "im going to warn you i have three diferent 1911s alone so you might just want to leave"

  • She's got a lovely voice and articulate way of speech. Pretty face and obviously fit body too. And above all: she really knows her 1911's.

    I would marry her! ;)

  • thank you

  • you got a soothing voice.

  • I said the samething on one of her other vids hahaha!

  • first of all 1911s and DEs are 2 totaly different types of guns(action, caliber, style etc.). so you cant really compare them. secondly they were designed in two totaly different time eras of technology. Also the number of owners of each model should help you realize why your statement was false.

  • this was directed at Dr0pAheartBreakAname

  • Desert Eagles are useless show off movie guns. Their ergonomics are just inferior to 1911's. No agency or military uses unpractical Desert Eagle, but 1911's still sees some service after nearly 100 years. While there are now better designs for military pistol, hardly any handgun can match the ergonomics and point'n'shoot qualities of a good 1911. I prefer STI 1911's, but I like them all.

  • your pretty! lol (^_^)

  • Nice! Quick check of the chamber! I suggest every time you introduce a pistol, show how to remove the magazine everytime and check and check. Otherwise, that awsome! Alot of people don't know how to break down this pistol that been in existance for almost 100 years.

It took me forever to learn how to break down my officer size 1911.

    Let see some revolvers!

  • I was impressed how you managed to strip them with fairly long nails. I would end up breaking mine!

Great videos keep them up! :D

  • Nice job. Your videos are very informative.

  • Is impressed. Not because you are a female. I have buddies (females included)in LE that can't field strip a 1911 like you do.

    Good Job.

  • ciao sei proprio brava ad anche molto bella!!!

  • Very good vids, please keep it up!

  • are you familiar with the 2011?

  • If my girlfriend could do That I'd MARRY her!! Heck, I might not even be cheating on her... (kidding)

  • You should make a video on the Desert Eagle model. I need some advice and info on one.

  • i just love youre videos !!

girls and guns aint it something :)

grtz mike keep up the good work !

  • you gotta love that AMERICA ! ! !

  • If she did break a nail she'd hopefully take it out on you and shoot you in the nut douchebag. Don't hate cause a chick way fucking outranks you in guns.

  • thnx for the reply... And I mean it!!

  • I would just like to say that it's very refreshing to see a lady, (and a beautiful one at that), so experienced and knowledgeable in firearms. My daughter is the same way. She can field-strip and reassemble her .45 in about 40 seconds. But on a side note....I'm having ejection jams on my Gov't. Model .45 (Auto-Ordnance). The ejector looks fine, so I'm thinking about trimming down the slide-return spring. Any thoughts?

  • I'd have to know exactly how it was jamming to diagnose. There is VERY small differences in how the jam looks but it can be anything between your ejector, your extractor, your magazine or even the frame or slide. Each have tell-tale signs they leave in the way it jams, on the cartridge, brass, or all three.

  • Bought it "used" at a gun show. When I first took it out, it would jam on loading. (Worn return spring?) So I bought and installed a new one, which was about and inch and half longer than the old. Now it jams trying to eject. Loads fine. (Too heavy of a return spring?) That's the best I can give you. I know "gun-smithing" via text really isn't the way to do it. LOL! So I've just been picking my brain and thinking maybe I should trim the spring down, bit by bit, and see what happens.

  • One more question for you. In "Holster Talk, Pt. 3" you were using the "red" full-size gun to show the in-the-waistband holster. The one with the reinforced mouth. Do you remember who sells that holster and cost? Thanks again, Lima.

  • The holster in question is a Milt Sparks Versa MaxII. The get a standard power recoil spring, not return spring, recoil spring. I'll send you a link on how to check your extractor tension, and a good place to get spring packs, if you bought used, it's probably a good idea to change out all the springs.
