I think this song is way ahead of it's time (after taking about 20 years to find it). From what I read in Wikipedia, it was the band's response to WEM (Warner Music) which asked Red Box to write something mainstream to appeal to America. In response, carried by a catchy bouncy tune lies a sarcastic portrayal of The American Dream (I believe the yodelling was portraying The Native American Indian and it's plight). Needless to say, it didn't do very well in America, lol.

As with all regimes and ideologies there are people who exploit these systems for their own ends and corrupt all that was good about them.
