I personally think it would be cocl if AC3 took place somewhere around the 1880s in the newly colonized West. It could be like GTA. You could travel most of the Old West and maybe even go to Victorian Era London. An even larger map. You could use period guns and swords. And your costume could be that of a bandit only with an Assassin Symbol belt Buckle or something and a Hidden Blade. Just a thought.

@Killzoneguy117 Ubisoft actually hinted that the official AC3 game (not the upcoming Revelations) will take place either during the French OR American revolution. I'm up for both possibilities, but you just listed some reasons why I'd prefer it to be the "not yet USA".

they added additional gaming to it. it was a problem that it was short in Assassins Creed 1 but they fixed that. theres even side quest mission.
