I think this was much better than the average montage. The gameplay was good, but not all entertaining. If you want a good, fun montage, you need unconventional kills, like the Return to Sender nade kill you got. Thats what you need throughout the video, and it will be a smash hit. The music was fine, and the gameplay good. Just make it invoke the "What the..." Or "How'd he do that" moments in someones head. That willo make a good, non- BS video. I look forward to another.
How is the music awful? Because that isn't the genre you listen to often? It's of good quality, is up-beat, and a very enjoyable song. In no way is it awful.
Nice enough video. A few hopefully helpful comments; Be more selective, a montage really shouldn't be longer than 4mins so that the kills come thick and fast. Ideally I think you could have just used the frag kills, the sniper kills, a few spas sprees, the harrier/airstrike and the pistol for some fun, and maybe focused more on some interesting effects.
For future montages, try out some other weapons. Striker/M1014 and Single Ranger/1887 sprees would be nice, maybe some Wazoo quick scopes.
Editing is decent, music is awful, and agreed that the kills are very basic. It just looks like normal gameplay. Seriously Scar, UMP, random nades, killstreaks, and thermal scopes? Those are the things people hate about this game. If it was a Mini-Uzi with thermal scope montage people would be more interested.
I applaud you for not being absolute suck! :D The main problem here, however, is the underwhelming clips. The Return to Sender one was kind of cool, but single kills don't really belong in a montage.

Very good editing, not so good playing. Play more matches to get better clips and try to get awesome unconventional kills and game winning kills.
Music-wise I suggest songs that most people are not very familiar with.
