Just one example I received recently. A letter from a Tibetan friend in Tibet telling how when they did the media walk through the soldiers suddenly disappeared and hid in stores and the ones out in open changed their uniforms to look like standard police or plain clothes. It's so convoluted no one will ever know the truth, that's the Chinese plan. Redraw maps, rewrite books, say whatever is necessary until goal is achieved.

Recent news, Chinese soldiers opened fire on group of Tibetan protesters in Tibetan region of Kham on Monday, no word yet of how many are dead, so far it looks like at least 150 but not confirmed yet. Very difficult to get info as there is a news blackout. Should be able to get some more facts in the next week or so.

From all sources, the violence in this protest were not instigated by the Han Chinese, but by the Tibetans. Perhaps they have legitimate reasons to be aggrieved, yet before anything can be solved, the violence has to stop--which is what the police are trying to do.
