I saw this show when we went to Disneyworld in 2000. I was only 10, but I do remember some parts of this quite well. I remember I really enjoyed it.

And this is great but...Esmeralda's voice! >.< And her acting isn't great either.

This Esmerelda is not very good. But this show was great! I miss it. This is an incredible movie. This movie probably has the overall best music of any disney movie ever. And this movie definitely shows a deeper and darker side to disney animation...it shows passion, not just a fairy tale.

Ugh, Esmeralda is horrible. When she delivers her lines, she sounds angry, and her singing voice is way too exaggerated. Clopin totally rocks, though. And he's wearing the hat this time! :)

On the second hand this musical adventure feels little rushed and actors do not have enough time to really act their parts before thenext song tunes in.

Oh well. I love it though.

You have no idea how restricted we were. We had to perform EXACTLY how they wanted and they didn't want Frollo to be too scary because of the children. Disney stifles artists - that's why most of us all left.

Making Hunchback into a Broadway show could work, but this is kind of insulting. Esmerelda's voice is subpar, and the acting is lukewarm at best. Also, Clopin should be a dream role, not given to this dude. That squeaking thing he does got pretty annoying after oh, say, immediately.

Actualy, in the Animated Film Hunchback of Norture Dame---Sir Ian Mickellen played Jean Calude Frolo---this was his first singing role---but this is not Ian in the live show---I dont think Dysney has that kind of money....

Actually Tony Jay did the voice in the film, not Ian. This is a stage show that used to be at the Disney MGM Studios and was cast from a stock of local actors via a rather rigorous audition process. They did 4-5 shows a day.

This is really cool. Looks like Disney borrowed D-MGM's Quasi costume and put it in Disneyland's Animazement. And the goat puppet reminds me of the camel puppet in DCA's Aladdin.

They've cropped it down a lot. And Esmeralda's line "Justice" didn't have the same impact as in the cartoon. It was my favorite line.

Haha, I love this so far! Although I have to say this Clopin is even more annoying than the guy playing him in the first part of the video - the way his voice goes up at random parts is so...blergh! But I really like the Phoebus and Esmeralda in this. They're so cute! Although Phoebus totally stuffs up the "it means, sun god" part, it comes off sarcastic and weird. :P

yeah Clopin's voice is pretty obnoxcious. likes hes trying to cover bad notes with a character voice. and esmeralda's dance should be more then what it is, but thats not her fault its the choregrapher. phoebes and esmeralda are good. frolo is freaking obnoxcious.
