It's about health, wealth, and knowledge of self. Education is a key part but if it's education to make a vertical move, then opportunity must be available. No matter what degree you have, you still have to interview and beg someone for a job. Even if you get that job, you don't wanna stay at the entry level until you retire. Thus, you manager or supervisor has to champion your notion on moving vertically. If they don't want you to make that progression, then you can be stuck.

Racism will always exist In not just america but the world as long as
people have different colors of skin.
while racial relations have improved
greatly especially with obama. African
americans and other ethnic groups/races
still face discrimination.
