  • Nice solid tool!

  • Hey Shawna,

I have dry soil in some areas of my lawn. I heard that you should put Black Cow in the soil before planting. Does that work to keep the plants healthy or what do you suggest? I have two Hibiscus that I want to plant. Is now a good time to be planting? I live in Fl. Thanks!

  • @PIgirl007 What do you mean by "Black Cow"? I use rotted cow manure in my soil. What amendment you should add depends on what type of soil you already have. Where I live it is super cold in November - too cold for planting. But in Florida I understand it depends on your region. For both these very regional questions I would suggest you contact a nursery near your home for the answer. Please come back and listen to more videos soon! :-)

    Thanks!

    Shawna

  • @TheCasualGardener Black Cow is manure. It is at Home Depot. I live just outside Orlando. We have a guy called the Garden Rebel here that has a nursery. He has a radio show as well. I will check with their nursery. Thanks for the suggestion.
