shaq in his young days was teh better offensive player....also in his rookie year, i think he averaged his career best 3.5 blocks per game...dwight is currently at 2.8 or 2.9 and that's in his fourth/fifth (not sure) year.
I believe Shaq was the more complete player in the post. Howard simply overpowers everybody. Shaq used clever post moves to get around, through, and away from the defense. Howard is not very adept at passing out of double teams either.
