mount intercooler to cool the intake charge where as the roots or twin screw units are mounted on top of the engine with there intercoolers between the unit and the enginre itself which make sit prone to terrible heat soak. Anyone who knows supercharged will tell you that for drag racing a centrifugal is your best bet. It makes the best power up top where as a roots/TS makes better low end numbers but suffers up top due to heat soak and Impeller design. Hope this helps some of you guys.

I still dont understand how such a large motor like the viper's 500 cubic inch V-10 can still sound like a ricer. Listen to it when he goes by the Vette. I heard a ford f-250 with the ol 6.? liter v-10 the other night and he had flowmasters with true duals. He got on it going down the road and it sounded massive not like the vipers engine. Plus the ford v-10 is smaller. I just dont get it.
if its a first year zo6 it only has 375 stock and if hes breakin in the supercharger hes only probaly runin 6psi or so witch way less then a stock viper is pushn
