It also has a small small small leak so it doesn't stay up to 120 for too long enough to load it, fill it with air then shoot it. I am also in the process of making a land mine which runs on air. I've been wanting to make a cannon similar to that far a while now. Where did u get ur schrader valve stem (like the ones on bycicles)(checked home depot).? I was planning on using mine to fire nerf pocket footballs whistling tips to simulate artillary fire in airsoft. I would NOT be firing it at a person. p.s. did u mean 600 feet instead of 600 yards? also, don't go over 80 psi, pvc can shatter. I'd wrap the tank in heavy cloth anyway, just to be safe. Nice job!
valve stems can be picked up at walmart in the Auto section, pvc pipe can handle up to 280psi (however, most valves are only rated at 125 max), and yes it most likely went 600 yards. if you've ever shot one, you'd be surprised at how much force they can put out :)
PSI stands for Pounds per Square Inch, therefore the term PSIs is impossible. There is no way in HELL that you are getting 600+ yards, or anything near it, with golfballs out of a simple modded sprinkler valve cannon of that size. The energy required to fire a GB 600 yards is tremendous, and I doubt that any handheld cannon could fire a golfball that far. How would you even find a GB that had gone that far?
i agree about the part where this cannon can't shoot 600 yards i ordered a supah valve a while back with a 2 inch porting and put it on a 3 foot long 3 inch chamber and a golf ball barrel and even at 100psi it would haved trouble going 600 yards but i have found golfballs at 1/4 mile so 600 yards wouldn't be to much harder
Sure it can be a weapon, anything can potentially be a weapon; regardless if it's on youtube or not. We had to do a simliar project for my gr12 physics class.

pretty nice, get a pressure gauge, i have one. has a bolt atcion breechloader and has a co2 tank for automatic refil, shoots paintballs at 280km/h. killed a chiken with it, put a paintball bbs and BOOM chiken is gone
i got a cannon with 3 mini compressors and the can go to up 250 psi
