its amazing how many people hate this game. I've played many final fantasy games, watched many, movies, read many books. This games story line is just fine, in fact, its closer to the origional games with all the crystal refrences. And i like most of the characters quite alot =/ I can understand people have different opinions, but i'm amazed how much crap even my friends give this game.

Actually, he was asking what state Bhujerba was in. Since it's a flying city he asked 'how flies', IE 'how is it'. >.>

He was asking how much control the Empire had over Bhujerban skies. Hence why Balthier says "Oh, she's free as can be, for now." in response, saying that Bhujerba skies aren't controlled by Archadia.

He was asking if Bhujerba itself was still free. Not just the skies. Hence why Baltheir points out the Empire taking notice when they announced Basch's execution and Ashe's suicide. He was saying those were the reasons Archades didn't take control of Bhujerba.

Right, Balthier did say that in order to explain why Bhujerba wasn't under control, but I disagree on the 'How flies' part, being that it was asked directly in questioning if Bhujerba was penetrable by air, or if they would meet resistance while trying to reach it, otherwise their trip would be pointless.

the story wasnt very good in this game, i think mostly because there was no love story, it would have been great with vaan and ashe. Typical i know, but thats what makes FF games so great. still an awesome game though

actually i think ffxii has the richest storyline in the series (apart from the absence of a love story). i mean, every single character had a backstory -- ashe, basch, and balthier especially, unlike other ff games where the story focused only on the main character. it's great how they're interwoven seamlessly into the game.

that aside, a love story with balthier/ashe would really rock. ^^
