Very good MrClose2U. I try to learn this song, but the tabs I found seem to be different.

I saw Mark Knopfler in Stuttgart/Germany in June and he DIDN´T play "local hero". I missed the song.

@hoheneck Thanks ... there are many tabs ... most with the correct notes but in different positions ... if it sounds good it is good ... hope you enjoyed the rest of the concert even without this tune ... thought he and the band were excellent :-)

Nice job close. You even used the knopfler picking method. Smooth and nice use of chords and licks together. Know you will know what he is actually playing when you see him.

Thanks - the difficulty is getting the dynamics just right ... and having the backing playing simultaneously hindered me in some ways as I kept listening to MK playing it so exquisitely and thinking / knowing that mine was a pale shadow of his.

That said - playing this piece is so enjoyable.
