That happened to me with my 2002 bug. The spedometer cable was being pressed against the fusebox from behind and, with some time, the metal power terminal broke the cable's rubber cover. I was driving so, I just saw a bunch of smoke coming out of the dashboard. I stoped and many cables were burning. Lucky that never chached on fire. Shit happens :(

I went from the sd card right to youtube and had no problems other then the 90 min upload time,but thats normal I think,
