Rest in peace, Davy. The Monkees were the best!!! I'm very sad after hearing the news. My thoughts are with his family and friends. He will live on through his music for decades to come!!
I would think song would be a fave of the Monkees themselves. They knew about the status symbols of urban America. The Smiths vs the Jones. Who has the best lawn, nicest car, etc.
Thanks but WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH DAMN MIKE SPILLED THE BEANS AND NOW ITS ME AND DAVY! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
My home town that Carole King lived in for a while, that this song is about. West Orange, New Jersey.

Those symbols were a target of 60's music.
