I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old DOHC Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree
nice try, this is in fact a real 250 gto. I highly doubt however that he just bought it. The reason for the cracked windshield is that the tranny blew up while downshifting into turn 7 at Infineon raceway in Sonoma, CA during one of the biggest 250 gto gatherings ever recorded. Believe me or not, don't really care. I was there and saw everything close up. So who has a problem on a 250 gto and then just decides to sell it because it's broken? they probably couldn't afford to fix it, HA.
@onoitsaWRX I believe it was Napoleon that had the height complex, pretty sure he was French. This was in the States and the 250 GTO is Italian. Sorry its a beautiful car anyway 36 real ones in the world lucky to get to stand next to one.
yes they were eaten alive by the cobra daytonas ( i iam a huge fan of cobras) but the daytona was developed 5 years after the GTO and the early cobras were faster but were not reliable enough
I'm not worthy! I was talking with the owner displaying his 288GTO about six weeks ago. I like the 250 better and I never even seen one in the flesh yet
Is it the genuine article? You must be super-rich or something. The only 250 GTO owners I ever read about are either ageing rock star legends, Top-tier business tycoons or aristocractic landed gentry! Which slot do you fall into?
no way, this thing is a V12, but not a screaming V12 its deeper/throatier like a V8, 6 double barrel carbies...that straight 5 thing sounds like a hair dryer
Last time they sold one for 80 Million Dollars...I thinks for that money I would conna buy a vintage ME109 plane from Worldwar two or even a replica ME262
Meanwhile in Africa...

Very nice... wish I had around $20 MILLION dollars to spend on a car. Believe it or not, that is the car's approximate worth if it's the real deal.

Was this a recent purchace? It still amazes me the value this thing has achieved, alone the car is more valuable than a typical wealthy CEO.
