  • i like ross levine better

  • Why is there a commentator?

  • This is SO crazy :D

  • this crazy monkey dont help him if i shoot im down hahahah

  • i think i just crapped myself

  • c'est trais bon jaime tros super !! nice

  • i see, BUT! can he juggle? o.0

  • I think this was pretty cool, whether or not you/I believe this would be effective in a real fight

  • oh yeah well i have a gun

  • that will be me one day

  • Shouldnt be called martial arts

  • that scene from Indiana Jones comes to mind when that Middle Eastern guy does a bunch of wicked sword tricks and then Indiana just shoots him anyways.

Kinda like a perfect metaphor for the relevance of these tricks in modern society

  • holy shit

  • I'm hearing カッコイイ!

  • The spin around the neck thing reminded me of Kamina from Toppa Turren Gurren Lagann.

  • Trick stick =) Lighter and shorter than actual bo, for those who didn't know.

  • Why is this dancer with a strangely long baton on a martial arts channel?

  • ok flick up round over is my opponent scared yet wait flick over then round dont forget to scream ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! slice your fucken dead, train all your life looking good doing that shit and not how to deliver a killer slice a killer blow your as good as that dead!!!

  • would not want to be anywhere near the front row. "Ah what form, and here he goes....whooops....um im not sure he was supposed to throw it..."

  • a very talented bloke but is people shouting and screaming in a hall really what martial arts is supposed to be?

  • absolutely fabulous! Well-trained and coordinated movement.....but...... this is bo-acrobatics and has nothing to do with budo.

  • hammer

  • that's a Wu-zong Stuff ....and it's simply beautiful

  • why doesn't he use a normal Bo staff? why is he using a little plastic thing? that's not a Bo that's a piece of plastic.

  • wow

  • 나도 가지고 집다 저 봉 !!

  • Though aluminum bos are flashy, I would prefer to use a wooden tournament bo. The aluminum ones can bend way to easily.

  • there is only one issue with a form that follows routine it is just that routine and routine can be intercepted therein is the beauty of street/freestyle mix in some krav maga and it really matters who hits who first!

I must say a crank from that staff would be nasty but nastier still is if he misses and your inside his zone then who gets the nasty

  • sick

  • the boy is bad

  • HOLY FUCK

  • nice..

  • 0:33 to 0:35 reminds me star wars ep 1

  • well no, what you actually said was "if he got in a fight...he would woop someones ass", clearly no mention of him having a bo staff in that sentence. i think you mean being "a master" rather than being "'a' artist". someone who is good at artistic forms bears no relation to his ability at street fighting.Martial arts training gives you an advantage, but someone who scraps regularly would smash the guy, unless however, inbetween bo staff spinning sessions, he goes out and scraps on the street!

  • But he did use other moves without using the bo staff and to get to the level of martial arts you need to learn how to fight without a weapon durrr

  • dont durrr me fool, tricks and performance martial arts have nothing to do with fighting. Take a look at 'mountain dew kung fu' and youll see my commercial i did recently, youll notice i can fly in it and do tricks, which obviously means i am a hardened street fighter in real life!!! i myself have learned to fight, which means i know what im talking about, and somehow, xgamer241, i feel you do not. Come back next time with something more useful to say.

  • nonsense, spinning a bo staff has nothing to do with street fighting. Im sure he doesnt walk the streets with a bo staff, and, as i said before it is a 'creative form' there are little to no effective strikes in there, however, it is great to watch and he has good skill. street fighting is raw, aggressive and ugly!and if you have ever been unfortunate enough to be in one or have witnessed one then you will know it looks neither good or skillful and has nothing to do with spinning a bo staff!

  • Joey GreenHauglh is a seasoned fighter on both Naska's point, team and continuous and has also competed in Chuck Norris combat league. Youre talking out your ass because you have no idea who Joey is, nor his training and only judging him on a video done 4 years ago.

  • that is sick

  • kool

  • the fact is it is a creative form that is made to look good, its neither traditional or effective self defence. also, who cares how effective it is in real life, who the fuck walks around with a bo staff anyways. It looks cool, takes skill and practice and is entertaining, thats all there is to it. right, time to unleash some bo staff fury on the unwitting public!

  • i want his pants...

  • hakama NOT pants

  • meh. looks like he could be a baton twirler.

  • that dude did a great job! but i think ive seen better

  • so its the "releases" in a form that makes it "extreme"? I thought it the screaming, ultra light/flimsy weapons and the lack of martial merit that made it "extreme"?

  • Well in traditional theres no releases and usually traditional is used with a totally white uniform. but yes there is no shouting through traditional except on finishing strikes and usually a real staff is used. Releases, though, don't actually make it "extreme", Acrobatics do. Releases make it "creative" if there are no acrobatics.

  • ever cut yourself while shaving? Imagine that cut with at least 200 pounds of force at about 94mph... Its called 'extreme' as opposed to traditional because it defends against multiple attackers while delivering certain death or major debilitating injuries. One of those strikes and you wont get back up period.

  • do you honestly think that traditional styles are lacking in "certain death or major debilitating" strikes? Or techniques against multiple attackers? OR that weapons made out of aluminum are REALLY capable of inflicting 200 pounds of lethal damage?

You need to stop spending so much time at Comic conventions, and more time actually studying your techniques.

  • Interesting; i never said anything against traditional styles. And i dont do comics at all. Ive seen simple wooden bo-staff moves inflict major bone shattering effects and a blade made of alum (how do you know THAT blade is made of alum?) can slice through skin. The exhibition here is called extreme because it extends beyond traditional.

  • "Its called 'extreme' as opposed to traditional BECAUSE it defends against multiple attackers while delivering certain death or major debilitating injuries."

so ur saying that "delivering certain death or major debilitating injuries" is what sets extreme apart from traditional, somebody signed onto ur account and typed that quote, OR you just had a big bowl of stupid for breakfast

  • You know what happens when a weapon hits a person? The velocity that it moves at slows down incredibly. Now, you need a lot of power to do a clean swipe without losing velocity, and that's if they're using a sharp weapon. A blunt weapon can never be used like this in combat. It might work with blades, but blunt weapons are not usually used with great velocity. Staffs are also used for close combat, which means range isn't and shouldn't be your specialty. Strength is used to block and smash.

  • Although you are correct for the most part about clean cuts with an edged blade, staffs aren't used for close but for distance (not necessarily LONG distance) but was originally intended to be able to strike an opponent at a distance that would be inconceivable with the average sword and arm length.

As long as you keep distance they cannot strike you, however, you can still strike them. (All this of course is dependent on the users skill.)

  • but what if poor technique is the cause of his stupidity.

possibly spending more time studying his techniques will do absolutely no good at all

    hahaha

  • riiiiight. im sure he would do well in a REAL fight. uh huh

  • @TonyNhollywood Yup - total release of anything other than half-time entertainment value

  • @TonyNhollywood lolwut? GG armchair samurai.

  • @TonyNhollywood You don't know what you are talking about. It's not about if this would be effective in a fight... it is a skill, a talent, something that takes years to master.

  • @cvilleTKD yea, it's like juggling.....and if it's not good in a fight it kinda loses the "martial" part.

  • @TonyNhollywood You should spar that guy sometime, I'd love to know first hand how flimsy his weapons are and non-extreme his talents can be.

  • cool.....this is tight.....

  • I bet he spins it fast to flash light into opponents' eyes and blind them :P

  • the spinning serves no real purpose, but strikes fear into unskilled opponents. anybody who knows what they're doing also knows that spinning weakens the grip greatly and has very little holding power

  • whatever that is

i dont want a hit in da head

  • whats the name of that style of clothing?

  • white "gui top" and a purple "Hakima"

  • i bet if zombie took over the earth he'd kill a few

  • very very very very very very very not bad

  • awsome video

  • what a shame, one bullet and hed be fucked

  • ...not every fight involves a gun...so unless you have a conceled weopons license (which i dought u do) then he would fuck you up.

  • except you have to have a weapons liscence to carry a sword too smart guy

  • hahahahhahaah he isnt using a sword. he is using a "bow staff" which u can find simaler objects around the house or on the street. dumbass.

  • since when did they make them chrome? what is he blangin or somethin? i still have no respect, i know a 12 year old girl that can twirl a baton too! but shes better

  • thats metal moron, if you got hit in the head with half that guys power you would be in a coma.

  • its alot easier to swing that then pull out a gun from wherever you have it hidden then aim and fire it.

  • not if hes comin at you from more than about 6 feet away

  • who would try to mess with a guy carrying around a staff like that...seriously...

  • fotomontaz jak chuj

  • dang

  • step into that blender and out steps 38 of you all just a little smaller.

  • Try searching "Shaolin Fengmo Staff" - 'Nuff said!

  • Stay out of the front row!

  • Wow i want to be able to do that, that is amazing

  • Try searching youtube for "Compulsory Staff Wushu Form" and watch the video of the same title. All I am saying: sure he has practiced his "form" - but it is not *that* difficult - certainly many other individuals have shown the same or better - some of them not even martial arts practitioners. It's not all that and a bag of chips. Watch the chinese wushu form - it does seem to my (far from expert eyes) to be more precise, more controlled and all in all a different bag of crisps.

  • lol at the haters on here.. you pathetic little shits have nothing better to do? he's clearly very talented with his form. Grow the hell up children.

  • To everyone who doesnt show respect to this guy- he could beat ur ass. try to punch him. hell fuck u up with that stick man. have u ever been hit with a baseball bat? yeah. it'd b exactly like that. except you'd get hit alot more.

  • no actually it wouldn't, baseball bats have a lot of mass concentrated into a small area, that thing he's twirling has no mass and a much larger area. learn physics before you're fooled by fools like this guy

  • I think he should be a role model for all gay men around the world!

  • The only difference between this and a cheerleader with a baton is that one is the length of their skirts. I fail to see how this is martial arts.

  • i would love to see you get your head taken off by that, and tell me it felt like a pom-pom.

  • sorry a chunk of plastic can't take peoples heads off go to one of those shitty martial arts stores that sell these "weapons" feel one and see it would bend the second it made contact with anything

  • Haha, please. You obviously don't know the power of a stick. Unless you're martial artist yourself with a sword or similar weapon, that guy would have beat you with that stick so fast that you wouldn't what hit you. But please, find you a friend and a stick, and let him with is nonskill beat you and see how long you stand just of that.

    Moron.

  • hey fuckass theres a difference between a stick and the chunk of light plastic the douche in the video is using, i know the difference between sticks of various weights i've studied koryu bojutsu so i know a nyoibo is going to have more power than a subo i know a subo is going to have 1000 times the power of that guys halloween costume prop. when you study a martial art come back and apologize for being a douche

  • OMG

  • i can do that.

  • Ugh stupid.

  • Oh so you mean you can do a lot better than that, no?

I bet you're just a jealous fat bitch that just post shitty comments to work out

  • thats more funny than scary

  • I'd be scared to be sitting in the front row.

  • oh i can do tht lol

  • that was total awesomeness

  • This is so funny its like the starwars kid just professional

  • wow for a big guy hes alfuly light on his feet

  • The term awful actually comes to my mind...

  • dam hes good, wouldnt wanna piss him off

  • He is good, but one part bothers me. He throws his bow staff in the air, very unpractical, if he drops it then he has to waste time picking it up. Still a fantastic performance.

  • get a real blade you girl

  • Seen much better in tournaments (his performance was fast but basic movements). Still good effort.

  • that show what do 2 years of practice

  • yea 2 years of practice cause if he actually studied longer he'd realize it's bullshit and knock it off

  • awsoome

  • to hell with it--the dude is GOOD! so what if he's 'not using a real blade'? I'd like to see you critics try that

  • mate i did not critics him and as a matter of fact being Exarmy when in we was trianed armed and unarmed comabat i might not able to spin bow like him but you wont see what i can do with a pen or any other commen house hold item ^^( and no not write a note to his mom ^^) I siad hes good theres no dout about it

  • akido i think thats not a dull blade it is only sharp at the very end and it perfectly balanced.

  • Yes your right. But i just didnt knew what kind of martrial art it was?

  • no martial art, just dancing and baton twirling

  • I dont think it works. What kind of human would do that in a fight?

  • one who wants to die i guess

  • yes :)

  • I don't get what you mean. Do you twirl something like a cheerleading baton? Then yes, this form is demonstration, obviously. However, if you mean you can't imagine humans doing organized techniques in a fight, then that's just ignorant.

  • Welcome to the world of modern fighting.

  • not fighting at all

  • what material art is this? It looks like aikido

  • no not even close

  • I love the "politically correct" poster behind him. I don't see how these guys practice this without cutting their hand off. pretty impressive.

  • first off if they use blades, the blades are dull during practice, and when they do it for a demo the blades are still dull, if there even is a blade. usally there isnt a blade it just looks like one, second of all he wasnt using a bladed weapon, he was using a bo staff, if u ever watch TMNT or X-men its the same thing that donetello and gambit uses.

  • amazing!

  • wouldnt wanna get in a fight with that guy

  • wudnt wna piss him off

  • why not for all you know it might be only show and in real combat would'nt count for much not disrespecting himtheres a lot of skill there no doute about it, but theres all way some bigger or stronger and no ones invisable live by that and and you'll conquer all or die trying (80)

  • I agree, you see him spinning it all fancy, and doing his flips. It's very coordinated, and very smooth. However, in a real fight, the obstruction of a solid figure, would greatly reduce the flow of the performance. In a real fight, its all about quick decision making. Something like this is practiced and choreographed. And if its freestlyed, he still practices the moves before hand and just combines them.

  • I was waiting for him to kill a member of the audience :0 Taxi...

  • What a show pony. I'll bash his broomstick up his arse.

  • w00t.

  • just swing around?

  • hes good but not best

  • Holy crap, that was cool!!

  • they did a test. black belt martial artist against a excellent marksman. the marksman had to be the length of a semi trailer away from the martial artist to draw his gun and land a killing shot on the guy before he got to him and subdued him. just remember that next time you think the solution to everything is guns.

  • you do know martial arts have been part of martial arts since they were invented it's called hojutsu

  • *pulls out gun and shoots*

and now all that training is useless because u rather have a spear than a gun, dumbass =)

but i liked it, nice and flashy.

  • retarded white guy... only NINJA(s) can be kool.

  • hahaha cool with a k

  • SF: the notion that mass is far more important than speed is incorrect.. Newtons law says force = mass x acceleration, so both are equally important.. thats how bullets kill while weighing hardly anything. Its impossible to judge how much damage the bo does since you cannot determine its speed and weight just by looking at this video, nor can you state that a heavier steel bar will do more damage when it does not reach that speed.

  • yes, that is absolutely true. Basic Newtonian physics, taught in middle school, and everywhere verifiable. I was making an observation and used to extreme examples to illustrate that observation. I suppose I failed to make myself clear though, so my apologies. But one must admit that even a slightly heavier stick would cause substantially greater damge at those velocities.

  • cool. but proper full wieght oak bo staffs are way more badass than the shiny toothpick ones.

also this is an artistic demonstration, so its all about doing cool stuff than actually being practical for when you have to fight off hordes of ninjas

  • Yeah, i have to agree with marauder, that stick is too light to cause any real damage. Any actual fighting style that focuses on beating the opponent rather than being flashy, like muy thai or krav maga, could easily beat the shit out of him. But those moves that guy makes are not easy to do so, so everyone should just appreciate his athlecism and realise that those moves are just for show, not for actual fighting.

  • And I hereby withdraw any ardument I previously had, because I just realized that arguing on the internet is like competing in the Special Olympics: Even if you win, you're still retarded.

  • i can do that wiv a cotton bud ya get me hahahha.

  • Got to love all these fat gamer nerds debating technique when they can barely lift themselves of the couch.

  • Sure, buddy. Go to school more often. Good joke though, calling people fat when a part of you're name is "chunky".

  • Thats awesome. I have been doing Martial Arts for 5 years and one day I hope to reach that level.

  • Why? That's pretty gay. It looks scary to twelve year olds, i'm sure, but anybody who actually fights with sticks, rather than twirls one could kick the ever lovin' shit outta him.

  • And also, if he were to hit somebody with that stick while it was twirling that fast, it would probably just bounce of and he would drop it. There's no follow through there. Fuck demonstration shit, all that nonsense equates to is ego masturbationg. Hell, chicks don't like that stuff either, so you're only impressing other insecure, emotionally immature losers. Go get a girlfriend man, seriously.

  • are u fucking stupid? if u were hit by that the impact would shatter bones!

  • Bullshit. Speed is important in delivering that kind of power, but mass is far more so. And you can tell it's light as hell when he tosses it up in the air. It's all for show, swifty. You know what breaks bones? A tiny Filipino dude. It's called Muay Thai. Go back to school, genius.

  • rrrrright, u are a artard, stick to playing ur Fighting games u child... freakin artards think they know things

  • Yeah, anyways... I don't know that i've ever played an MA game. But I do know physics. Study up, hmm? For instance, what is more likely to break a bone an BB going 500 fps, or a steel beam being lowered at 1 fps. Mass is what does the damage, not velocity. Velocity does help though.

  • Why are you comparing a weaponless "Filipino" martial art, to some guy swinging a bladed stck?

  • The first class I attended at my local fighting school I had to take on 3 opponents, the second one I had to defend myself against someone with a 2ft Kebab Knife...a real one. There is a big difference between exhibition fighting and the real deal. 'Bwoads don't hit back'...thanks Bruce:)

  • Your first class ever? and you defended yourself again st a guy with a 2ft kebab knife? reminds me of the kung fu class i attended where i had to defend myself from a lightsaber

  • Lol! Well the idea is to make you crap yourself and still hold your ground. They put us in a lot of situations like that but as important as the technique was developing mental strength. Living in a town like Weymouth in the 90's, it was'nt a place for the timid..even the Guardian Angels got their butts kicked there. Personally, I gained a lot more self confidence from the experience which has helped me in all aspects of my life.

  • tkgoul her shi hmar kay harnet...

  • all show striking glances like those exept for a sure few are to light and irregular cause suffiecnt damage and if that were a real double sided sword it would have cut him many times grabbing it like that
