now im debating between Are you dead yet, hatebreeder, follow the reaper and blooddrunk of which is my favorite album (i like all 4 of them actually) just gotta figure out which one is my #1 favorite Id say this album
@gmanthejoker Dude, I'll admit, this is a pretty good album. But Hatebreeder and HCDR are so much more melodic and orchestrated. This is a little "Hot Topic"y for my liking. Sure, they're still Bodom, but they're more focused on chugging riffs and screamo screams rather than intricate fretwork and more black metal-influenced vocals. I think old Bodom is as raw and real as death metal gets. No disrespect intended to this album, but it just can't match up.
@zsybrant very well said. Personally I like this album as much as Follow The Reaper, Are You Dead Yet, Something Wild, and HCDR. I haven't listened to enough of Hatebreeder but from what I've heard it's my 2n least favorite Bodom album, just ahead of RRF.
best is a broad comment for an album so it means it is either what you like or what the public likes. It can either be thrir heaviest or their most melodic it just depends on what your taste is. I personally like hcdr the best but thats just me. That doesnt mean others are bad tho.
I hope that their next album is a little better...and a little like Follow The Reaper. But if they decide to change it up a little more, then I hope it just sounds better than anything they've ever done, because they are, afterall, Children of Bodom.
