YOU ALL KNOW HOW THE WRITERS ARE IN SOAPS.. THEY TRIED TO MAKE IT SEEM LIKE SHE GOT ABDUCTED BUT WHEN SHE HAD CAME THEY TURNED IT AROUND TO SEEM LIKE SHE GAVE BIRTH. AND THIS CLIP WAS WHILE SHE WAS ON MATERNITY LEAVE.
I really think they abandoned this storyline, that is too bad, because it would have been pretty good too. I wanted to know what was going on with that scene. Perhaps, it could have saved the season from exiting NBC.

I'm under the impression this is when she had the baby, but that doesn't explain why she's bound to a bed....
I'm thinking they were maybe going to start a different story line and then abandoned it.
ether she going into labor and the camera crew did not mean to get her stomach in the shot.. witch make more sance on how the picture was shot. or the black mail kidnapped her and they did not fallow through with the story
well. the actress herself was pregnant during the series. So I think they came up with the storyline that Gwen gave birth in secret. Since Jonathan is Gwen and Ethan's son.
This scene was tied into the plot of Gwen's pregnancy with Jonathan. When it's said "he's coming", it was implied that Gwen was in labour about to deliver her son. She kept this secret even from her mother.
She wasn't pregnant in this scene. If watch she is struggling to get out of the cuffs. When we hear " He's coming" Gwen stops screaming and has the look of fear on her face. Pretty sure this was going to be some crazy different plot that they just let go
