i had this album.. sounded very crappy.. i copied some of the songs then thru the cd away... some songs didnt even sound like michael was singin it.. obviously someone made a horrible attempt to clean up the songs and even fill in the vocals... sucked baaaad.. this one is OK.. but u can still here the crappy mussic added to the old track.. MIKE is still my fav tho!

Joseph didn't have to "beat talent" into Michael and his brothers...God gave them that talent. Joe was capatalizing off it---I guess he was tired of working in the steels mills in Detroit. He could have been strict on them without beating on them like he did....because in the end, it didn't work out in his favor because, he didn't have a close relationship with none of his children from Katherine. They would have made it regardless....they were born with that talent.

Well, it's true. Joe didn't give his kids anything but a roof over their head, food on the table, clothes on their back and the basics of how to cultivate the talent they were given by God himself...THAT'S IT. I think he also tried to protect them from the swindlers in the music business.

Yes. It's just really heartbreaking.I know it hurt Michael so bad. He was just so beautiful. His dad was really mean to him.

It's unfortunate to say, but Joe seemed to equate love with quantity.

I'm not going to say whether or not he had the best intentions. My heart wants to say that "he did".

Michael seemed to be SOO forgiving, which I'm happy about.

I'm sure Katherine was such a good and loving mom to her children. I remember hearing her say that on bad-weather days, when the t.v. wasn't working, she and the kids would sit around harmonizing, singing country songs on the radio. I tell ya, she was a great mum to love and care for them in Gary, IN, the way she did. She instilled and carefully planted the musical seed in them. They are all talented!

At that time randy was the only boy still at home. The boys was gone for rehersals with Joe the father. It was just the girls, body guards and staff at that big huge home.

My brother, sister, and I was invited to the Jackson home when I was 11 years old because of our membership to the Jackson 5 fan club. I will never forget how big and beautiful that house was. It's was like Disney. I remember breaking down because I had to leave. Latoya and janet was there and Mrs Jackson was our host. Just the nicest people you ever wanted to meet in your life. It was for me the second coming of christ as far as I'm concerned.

This wasn't a good recording due to the fact that the instruments were louder than Michael's vocals. I could barely hear him singing. My favorite song from their Steeltown Records era was their first recording "Big Boy". Michael's vocals were so strong and powerful for him to be 8 years old at the time...wow
