anyone got any suggestions on what server to go to ? planning on playing a elyos sorcerer i'm a ex Guild Master from a top 50 world ranked guild in world of warcraft been gladiator 4 times on 2 difrent characters and have extensive PvE experiance within wow so i'm a pritty seasoned mmo player

i've been a wow player for aslong as the early beta's where released and i can already say without having played aion that aion owns wow in every possible way i'm buying aion as soon as i can to get started elyos sorcerer ftw <3 wow got destroyed with the launch of wotlk anyone who says otherwise needs to get his head checked :P

It looks really great, and it's well made and all, but it still doesn't compete with WoW. You have to remember that WoW has been around for quite a few years now, so they've had a lot of time to perfect how every mechanic works. Thus not saying I wouldn't play Aion over WoW, but that's mostly just because I need a change, something fresh away from WoW. It does however beat AoC, that's for sure :P 5 stars for the vid + the game!

While it is better than WoW, this game is far from "next gen." It basically takes stuff that works from other games and combines them into a new game.

To me that just isn't next gen. Great game, just not next gen.

It totally does not do that. The game has great potential, but it is far from perfect. Also, sorry to say, but it lacks a lot to be even on par with WoW, let alone be better. Not a WoW fanboy, but it's player base should speak for itself.

i like the thing that ...even tho its a small detail i like the fact that the robe moves while u cast spells ... personally belive thats awesome cuz it gives u the sensation of casting a strong spell or increase it ....unlike the static armour ...from other games xD ..hope u got my point

hey the in game world in aion is it like War with zones and stuff or is it like WoW big and no loading screens?

its a Combo of both. it has 2 sides. elyos and the asmodians. both on diff parts of the world. the middle is called the abyss. which is where the 3rd npc faction is and where most of the battles go on. and so yea. no loading scrns. and over all great game. comes out 9/22/09

apart from teh graphics it is slightly similar, i have played both games. AioN is a lot better tho, combo skills are good. when i said like wow i didnt mean in a negative way.
