I went into a Cash Geberator shop the other day (in my local town) and set up their kit perfectly (even though it was an over prised rubbish thing) and they sold it

Yeahh you can,

Put new skins on it and tune them good. If you have trouble qith tuning take your toms or whatever to either your tutor or local drum/music store and they should be able to do it

Umm i think you can make any brand good tbh, i have a fivestar (yeahh no onesever heard of it) i got it from a shop on ebay. And what i've done is got new cymbals and things like that, set up well, and it looks and sounds awesome! and is really good to play. Having said that the best brands have to be DW, Mapex, Tama, yahmaha etc.
