If it' a show car does that mean it's never been on a test track? Because you would need to know how it performs in reality. There is no mention of the chassis and suspension and how it performs. What I mean is - it's fine having all those horses but if you can't put that through the wheels onto the track to drive it forward - it'sa waste. How does it corner ? It needs to be good to compete with the cars it has been grouped. It has some nice design touches but who's seen scratched dials?

You all know that the AC Cobra was an English car not an American one right? These people are acting like it's some sort of US muscle car, it's originally a British designed and built car. Carol Shelby just bought one AC had modified specially for him to put in a V8. The GT40 was also designed and built in England with American money.
So overall I'm not sure what this car really stands for. It's a mix of two 1960s British built cars, yet it's being touted as 'all American' and costs 2 Lambos...
I love how American Manufactures like Hennessey with Venom GT & these guys like to compare their cars to Bugatti's Veyron when talking about the price however the biggest selling points of making the car things like appearance & stand out from a mile away feature is out the window. Venom GT is Lotus & this thing is AC Cobra. Bugatti is in the league of it's own design & engineering wise on all scales, looks, mechanical, luxury, performance & best of all Investment Value in Buggatis case.

It's a blatant knock off of the A/C body. Which isn't even an American car design, albeit made a success with Ford engines and Carol Shelby's determination half a century ago.
This car is not American Engineering back on top. There's really no way it can outperform, say, a real GT-R or a new Corvette. It probably would lose to the original 427 it's emulating. That much power and that light a car is not always fastest.
This car will never win a serious race. It's a clone of a relic.
Why compare it? It's a Modern super car. No cars of nowdays can be compared to what was around 50 years ago. The electronics and systems take the soul away from the actual car but the car itself is a marvel of engineering in itself.

It's a blatant knock off of the A/C body. Which isn't even an American car design, albeit made a success with Ford engines and Carol Shelby's determination half a century ago.
This car is not American Engineering back on top. There's really no way it can outperform, say, a real GT-R or a new Corvette. It probably would lose to the original 427 it's emulating. That much power and that light a car is not always fastest.
This car will never win a serious race. It's a clone of a relic.

Why compare it? It's a Modern super car. No cars of nowdays can be compared to what was around 50 years ago. The electronics and systems take the soul away from the actual car but the car itself is a marvel of engineering in itself.

It would whoop any modern day sports car up and down the drag strip and track with the proper driver. However if you are stating that any idiot couldn't get in it and drive fast i agree. Also the new electronics system in it is very revolutionary and definitely is something for american engineering to be proud of.

This car is a show car, Waaaay over the top. At first i thought it was cool but as it went on, its just kinda faux. Race cars dont have all these stupid little gadgets. If you are gonna make a bare racer then make it a BARE racer, if you are gonna make a technology buff car then make it robotic. Don't mix and match.

This car is simply not worth $500,000 as it has no pedigree, technology, or avant garde design. first off, this is NOT a Cobra, only what a Cobra MIGHT look like if it were still around today. so them keeping the AC headlights would be retarded because that would of made it a Cobra, which it is not. this is the Iconic GTR.
and where'd you read that this was going to be a modified Solstice? from what i've read, this car has a tubular space frame, and has absolutely no relation to any type of production car out right now.
