@TranshumanCyborg Well that is a gross misrepresentation of individualism. Collectivism, however, requires that an individual have duties and burdens that they themselves did not ask for want. What these burdens are is up to the head of the collective, however that may be represented. While a solipsistic view of the world is not off the table, I have yet to meet any individualist who believes they are the only one who exist or who detaches themselves from the rest of the world because of it.
@TranshumanCyborg I have to disagree. Collectivists always think that other individuals should bend to their vision of a perfect community. I am an extreme individualist, but that does not mean that I think that the individual should not live in a community if he/she so desires. I believe that an individual should have the freedom to live as they wish so long as they do not violate the rights of others.
@TranshumanCyborg Democratic and republican viewpoints are not opposites though, they are simply arguing about how to illegally spend tax dollars on their particular agenda. Individualism and collectivism..... Well, those are complete opposites
rachel maddow is no better than the pundits she claims to be exposing, we need to stop excusing obama for that which we criticized bush for. The problem with health care is that the government is already TOO involved, not that they do not have enough power. besides, 'death panels' as palin and the left so dramatically called them, are based in reality. In britain, if a person in britain needs dialysis, and they are over 55, they cannot receive it, as they are over the age limit.
NO they dont believe what they say, never did. To the sick minds of the political right it is all about using whatever they can to con the public, manipulate them, and use them to further an agenda that serves wealth and power at the cost of the public from money, labor, environment, health, and even peoples lives as in the 45,000 preventable deaths every year from lack of health insurance.
It is way past due for all to see how vile and illigitimate the right-wing/GOP is and to tune them out
We will never have enough food, water, energy or health care until we redesign our world to look at ALL people's needs over a FEW people's profits.
The government is NOT the answer either. All governments are bought and paid for by the international bankers and corporations.
We need to look at the ROOT CAUSE of all these problems and that is the monetary system. Without money the only question is do we have the resources and technology to create an abundance of life's necessities, YES WE DO!
BF Skinner is good. And Walden 2 is similar to what we should have. Although I think we have technology today that would eliminate the need for humans being the 'managers'.
Computers and machines can do all the work to monitor and regulate the environment. And humans can expand their minds to make life better, without 'ruling' over each other.
Check out zeitgeist addendum or the venus project. They have a well thought out system that will be our next step in evolution.
hard to take someone seriously when they argue for or against a bill they haven't read.... hmm... what would Rachel Maddow say? Who cares... she hasn't read the bill
It's impossible that Sarah Palin came up with the idea of calling living will consultations "death panels". She's not smart enough. Where's Karl Rove?
Gezz, Grandpa Fred's like 500 years old! He shouldn't be dissing Medicare, he might need it someday! Tell me the drooling, mouth-breathers that support these guys don't buy this!
Yea, there's no death panels and illegal aliens won't get health care. Keep the bullshit flying Maddow. That's why they're debating this right now on the Senate floor.
If you believe after reading the proposals that there are death panels in the bill or that illegals get health care you are the one who is in sad shape. Because that will prove first, that you can't read for shit, second you believe everything you hear from the loony GOP and third... you have no clue to what congress is actually debating. You are a loser will no f'ing clue.
TODAY is a huge day... as they will start discussing the public option and decide weather or not it will be included. If we want this we need to make our calls NOW! If you do not have the numbers I have them on my profile. I also have petitons and other resources in the comment section. Thanks
The United States Government (USG) is bankrupt. But we are not part of it. The USG is a corporation I have never agreed or signed anything for the USG. I am not part of that corporation.
They are bailing themselves out with fake money and bonds.

Yeah, I like what I've seen so far of the venus project. Our current system will lead to the extinction of most, if not all, life on the planet.

Arguing about Republicans and Democrats is like arguing about Ford and Chevy its pointless and we should focus more on what we want for this country.

The only thing the Republicans are concerned about is getting back their control in the government. That's it. And they will use any means to do it.

Members of Congress all enjoy government health care; I don't see them giving it up.

I know, but how good could those "gubment" doctors be? After all, Strom Thurmond died.
RadarKat73080 2 years ago
Heh heh. (In case anybody doesn't know, Strom Thurmond was 100 years old.)
Cabochon1360 2 years ago
See! If government healthcare worked, Thurmond wouldn't have died! BTW How did he die? Stake thru the heart or exposure to sunlight?
RadarKat73080 2 years ago
good riddance to Thurmond. I hope he is rotting in hell. I hope god met him as a blck man when he died

notice the pentagrams on the GOP logo, why did they tilt the stars? is there any reason?...something to think about
enmity666 2 years ago
Hillary Clinton had a sign or flag behind her during the elections. The stars were also turned.
The answers are in the symbols and those symbols are everywhere.

Today's Republicans are so confused because most of them are clueless about what Republicanism is. They should keep opposing Medicare.
