you have fast twitch and slow twitch muscle fibers,slow twitch fibers are what your working when you lift "fast".meaning they twitch slower and actually take longer to exhaust.fast twitch fibers are being worked when you lift slow,they exhaust quickly.you should work both types of fibers/often switching up your program to shock you muscles into new growth!!!

I learned to lift quickly and lower quickly because i lift for strength and power, not size and endurance and fast works to gain size to...just look at powerlifters and olympic lifters...they lift fast and possible and have extreme strength and power.

Yes... concentric (lifting and muscle shortening) and eccentric (lowering and muscle lengthening).
Instead of fast and slow, try slowly and super slowly. :-)

I think that 4seconds up and down is too much, although going too quickly really doesn't give nearly as much of a workout.

2-3 Up and 4-5 Down is just the beginning. Read my book and you'll go even MORE slowly... at least if you want the most amazing results possible in the absolutely least amount of time. Check out the website and spread the word. Thanks for watching!

I think that it is a good way to put it as "when in Rome.." however I am more so taking out the entire concept of pandering in all of media on one little video which IS virtuous. In a sense, I suppose that it is good that people are being tricked into watching something more or less educational than crappy videos.
