1 pint of Ice Cream divided by 8 people, is two ounces each...(a single shot glass, is the equivalent of 1 1/2 fluid ounces)... seems like a lot of effort for so little ice cream... 8 people couldn't come up with another $3 bucks between them for a 2nd pint?

If it's frozen too hard to scoop, why not just leave it out for three minutes until it softens up? Then you could scoop it out and eat it like HUMANS.....
