Thank you so much for playing this game. I remember playing it as "Dark Adventure" in the arcades, and spending a lot of money. It's been many many years since I've played it, and I'm glad I didn't imagine it.

Dark Adventure is far better than Devil World. That Gradius Engine is just awful for this type of game. Takes no skill to get through it. The original was incredibly hard to get through without bags of quarters. So fun back then. Goddamit I miss old school arcades.
I remember playing Dark Adventure, putting in a lot of quarters for credits/lives. Then I killed some monster or something that blocked the exit and I was stuck on the level with no way to advance or be killed (all enemies dead).
Um.. I'm a Christian.. I liked Devil May Cry. Christian mothers may have issues, but guys like me are entertained no matter what. I simply have issues with constantly fighting demons. Take Ninja Gaiden (Xbox) for example. I loved the beginning of the game, fighting ninjas and all. AND THEN CAME THE DEMONS. Onimusha's demon story made sense. I buy what's going on there. But EVERY FRIGGIN' GAME? Demons, demons, demons... I'd like to be a ninja fighting human enemies for once..
I've played this game in video center, this game give me a feeling of Indiana Jones fusion Gradius. I die on the volcano stage, those volcano bomb is so cheap, 1 hit KO.

hmmm, "Devil World"... did they die and get sent to hell or something? is that the premise?

Why not press F2 and put it on Free Play and

Not that they love them, they're just more liberal about their content. Put demons in a game and Christians want to burn it at the stake.

I must have played a lot of Dark Adventure as a kid, because I don't remember the Gradius power up system but remember the giant mud creature.
