This is what irritates me.... My system is---Phenom Quadcore 1.8Ghz,, 4gig RAM (667mhz) and an XFX HD 4890 1Gb GDDR5 Graphics card.. 23 inch LG Flatron.... I can play on very high 1920 x 1080...UNTIL I get to any point where any action is...then its literally 10 or less fps.... I can barely play on all low settings on those parts of the game.... its confusing.

I know my cpu is slow but Crysis only uses 30% of my CPU and I know the HD 4890 can handle Crysis well enough according to benchmarks.

Im pretty sure that that will run it high at 1440x900 res or lower with decent fps. if not jsut overclock it a bit for more performance or get a config tweak that will improve visual without compromising performance.

you dont need to use watercooling to get 3.6 wiht the q6600. im at 3.6 with an average of 45C on air. of course its only a 2500 rpm fan but im going to twist tie another 4800 rpm case fan on top of the heatsink for a total of about 104 cfm.

Just get new mobo like ASUS Rampage Formula with last X48 Intel Chipset on 4GB OCZ DDR2 PC2-9600 FlexXLC Edition if u want watercooling but if you want air go with Corsair Dominator PC2-8500.

Go for HD 4870 CrossFire better than HD 3870s and ur Q6600 is fine.

Hey you are running that with 32 bit. If you want to run 64 bit you have to go to Crysis->Bin64 and then get that shortcut icon

It is a complete copy folder of BIN32 it will have both if you have a 64 bit operating system. You just go to (crytek->crysis->Bin64) and copy paste the short cut that they in the folder. This will take full advantage of your ram. I saw a big difference in smoothness!
