When Ringo performs live he comes out in front of the band for most of the songs he sings and with the all star tours he is still playing drums on most of the songs when the all stars are singing. So for a two hour show he is still drummng almost 1 1/2 hours. This was from a benefit last year and he also sang It Don't Come Easy and Yellow Submarine. So at this show he was out in front of the band for the other two songs and then he went back to his kit for Boys.
"Ringo" fans.... I hope U will check out the video for my song " RINGO ". It's a very retro video with Beatleish touches. It was done as a labor of love and with the utmost respect for the Fabs. The song and video is my attempt at putting a little bit of the Beatle spirit out there for Beatle fans. It's also my tribute to George Harrison's slide playing as well as Ringo's unique style.
What happen to all that good stuff of the beatles ringo is awsome and all but its just not like it used to be thers not a huge part of the song wich is
I LOVE this song ''BOYS' with Ringo on drums! Keep On Rockin and Shining Ringo! We Love YOU!! Thankyou for all the Love you give! Blessings, PEACE LOVE LIGHT
I guess I thought Ringo would put as much care and effort into his performance as he did when I saw him on tour with he All Starr Band. I thought Paul's set was amazing and up to his very high standards. I guess 90% of success is just showing up.
I see. You're referring to the quality of his performance. Not his attitude toward this cause. Well in that regard, I agree. His set was short and a bit looser than Paul's. But it was still quite a bit more entertaining than the other performers on this bill with the exception of Paul. Perhaps they were just intimidated by Sir Paul.
I think it was a historic moment since Paul and Ringo haven't shared a stage since Concert For George in 2002, but what will this show look and sound like on the DVD, which they filmed it for? I think Ringo has had a generally off year, especially with his fan spat of refusing to sign anymore autographs.
When I met Ringo in the late 80's he was more than willing to give me an autograph. He was charming and a real gentleman, cool, calm and collected. It's hard to believe that he would have any sort of meltdown. But given that he's been under public scrutiny for so many years I guess he's had enough. As far as his performance on stage which we really only have a right to critique it was not stellar but none the less entertaining. If I was editing this video I'd edit out all BUT Paul and Ringo.
I bet you'd be fed-up too, if you had fools going around insisting you be the person they want you to be, instead of accepting a person for who they are. Don't you think Ringo has given an extraordinary amount of his talent and time to his fans during his life? Where do people get off demanding someone famous should be like they want them to be? It's absurd!
Feels empty without the "Alright George!" bit.

It;'s only Ringo, not Zak Starkey (but Zak does play drums)
Yeah, Ringo is the oldest Beatle at age 70, Paul McCarteny is age 65 now. Both are still amazing musicians!

Ringo doesn't turn 70 until later this year.

He still sounds good

fact: the song was origonally made by an american girl group in the early 60s. the beatles changed the lyrics a bit to give it a tougher feel. cool!

Well, when you're nearly 70, I'm guessing it ain't as easy to swing the sticks anymore.
Nevertheless, he still rocks.

i think that's his son Zak Starkey.

The other drummer is there for when Ringo is just singing, which is most of the time.

The good thing about Ringo is that he seems to never sing the same song the same way twice.

Great video, but how seriously did Ringo take this TM benefit show? Some people donated $100,000 to see Ringo play three songs and Paul perform 12.

? How serious? Get real. He was there. What do you want?
