  • hi,

i like your explanations you are clear ...not skiping like others

but it would have been nice if you told us what it cost all the parts you were showing

    k

  • The shaft coupler was about 6-8 inches. It probably could have been just a bit bigger so that it fit over the entire motor shaft and the entire transmission shaft. Right now, it's only covering the transmission shaft by about 2". I don't think this will be a problem but I would have preferred it to cover the entire 4". I've been meaning to ask you - the first car you did, was that a kit? The components look very similar to mine.

  • I DID NOT HAVE A KIT I BOUTGHT EVERYTHING SEPERATLEY. you get the kit from wilderness ev?

i came across them later. i have 3200 wraped up and that inclueds eveerything calls postage parts books and everthing even the last nut and bolt is counted in. i was able to get the plates for free and i did all the work. what is the weight of the car u converted? the truck is a little heavy for the motor i have. will upgrade soon to a 9"

  • The car was 1950lbs when I got it. It's close to 2100lbs right now with all the batteries in it. $3200 is a good price... I'm about 5200$ in it all together.

  • what was the length of the coupler shaft? i am thinking of getting rid of the lovejoys that i am useing right now. mine just seperated after a 35 miles run and i was just 1.5 miles from the house.

    thanks norm

  • Thanks, a little luck couldn't hurt!

  • Best of luck man.
