@may301985 the cantonese blu-ray version has a completely different sounding theme and soundtrack which is not the least bit funky. peter thomas' score is not original's, but it's an original composition for the american release from what i can tell

@may301985 i meant the original is not funky at all. basically i'm saying this song isn't a cover because it's nothing like the original. they paid this guy to come up with his own music which would be more appealing to a western audience. to give you an idea of how different they are, personally i think this version is pretty badass, whereas i don't like the original score at all.
@August138 he could be an eskimo or a lithuanian and it wouldn't change the fact that his music was in the american release. i merely stated that he was paid to make music that appeared in the american version, whether he knew it or not.
@harrisonfong I mean, he's a German national, not an American national. He was tops in his field, and was probably known in HK, so that's why he was hired for the Export Version.
@may301985 - Dude, this is the original composer and band "Peter Thomas" and his orchestra. He is white. Chinese didn't make the score for the USA dub. The one on the movie is the same but this is in stereo and better quality. that's all.
