I have given both my kids a $30 plan. This way I can keep in touch with them and as they used to so like to use my phone for texting they now each have 1000minutes for 30 days plus they get the talk time of 1000minutes. They are two lucky kids and one wise parent

@TheGwmichael I did the same for my kids but this Christmas I'm giving them the $45.00 a month unlimited usage plan as they keep running out of airtime! HOWEVER it's linked to all sorts of deals like doing homework and chores and keeping up grades....mean ol' me!

For Christmas my kids are all getting a straighttalk phone witha $30 plan. I like the idea of the $30 a month giving them 1000 minutes of text and talk - this way they are going to have to learn to budget and be more responsible

I've done the math on the pricing more carefully with the 2 Straight Talk plans the $45 & $30 ones. I've seen that with the $45 plan if you phone for an our a day then your calls will work out to 2.5c a minute and further calls after that then drops the cost per minute per call lower and lower. So can you imagine if you only had this one $45 plan in the family how cheap calls will be if the whole family used this phone at night and weekends to save on their $30 ST plans.

@MrPrepaidrules know what ou mean about the text mad kids, I got my kids the $30 1000 texts 1000 minutes and 1000 mb to give them a bit of a limit. Think its good to give kids limits... But they both love it. and they get better coverage than me!

yes howard, i agree.straight talk is the best prepaid plan around. i switched to straight talk unlimited prepaid recently and am so glad i did it. i have great reception, no more overage fees or hidden costs, am available all the time and can talk and text as much as i like without having to worry about a big bill at month end. i pay $45 a month for unlimited talk, text , data and get free 411 calls. perfect deal, and unbeaten so far by others

I still can't believe that I can talk, text & send e-mails and photo's as much as I want for $45/month on Straight Talk's unlimited plan. I'm on the phone as much as possible now and I can now always talk my loneliness away at night or on Sunday afternoons when you get that yuk feeling when you know you gotta go to work the next day.

My advice to people has always been to never stop looking for a bargain cell phone plan that offers quality reception and value for money. Well I did stop looking for just that because I experienced the Straight talk $45 plan for the first time as I got it for my birthday 3 months ago. It's just such a free, luxurious feeling to phone, text & web as much as you want anywhere in the US and the bill doesn't go higher than $45! Well Christmas is comming & I'm buying my hubby this plan too.

There is no other way to describe Straight Talk but Awesome. There aren't hidden fees and the flat monthly rate is much more affordable than my previous service provider. The phone selection is great and I've never had dropped calls. Whats not to love?

I found that the Straight Talk $45 unlimited plan fulfills all my needs,it is the perfect plan, even the Walmart $45 family plan does not offer me as much. ST offers extra's of free unlimited data & calls to 411, so sending copies of plans & photo's on my family's phones are possible. After switching from a contract I don't want to see another bill, who knows what the 411 charges will be monthly as on the Walmart family plan plus WFP charges a $25 activation fee. I keep it simple using ST.

If you are someone who has paid well over $200 for a $70 bill because of overages, you really need to check out a deal like the Straight Talk unlimited - the savings for me personally were worth any cancellation fees I had to pay with my previous carrier. It so refreshing to know I don't have to worry about those fees or my bills rising because of them or use - $45 a month and no change.

@purplekiller69: Are you serious dude?!? Metro is like 5 dollars cheaper yes BUT their coverage is WEAK man! Straight Talk runs on Verizon's network so you get THE BEST network in the States for $5 more.

Bough straight talk card activated on 7/24/10 and getting you don't have enough fund msg. customer service can't fix it and i'm out phone for 48hrs due to technical difficulty. NOT THE FIRST TIME I GET A LOUSY SERVICE..
