It is way easier, however, to use a simple insecticide sprayer connected right to the clear plastic tubing. The pump is already connected to the sprayer, it's way cheaper, and it offers an easy trigger

We used to make a similar mix, but i think we added dawn dish soap, which cut down on how much it would stain, and how sticky it got... and unless you shake it up, there wouldn't be any negative affect, not sure about it going through a pressurized hose though...
