  • Well done vid! Thanks!

  • The "softness" of the light is probably the same, however the softbox is much more directional and that is what causes the harsh shadows when using anything other than glamour lighting.

  • hey a Pentax shooter. good!

  • "Turn your light on." lol

  • it seems to me that the soft box gives less of a soft light than the umbrella; shadows seems a bit harsher on his little face...my opinion...

  • @asjesus1 that's why it's called a softbox lol

  • @ichirootaniguchi i'm serious, the umbrella seemed to give a softer light than the softbox itself...dont you think? i was taught otherwise....

  • @asjesus1 the reason that is, is because the umbrella has a larger surface area which leads to softer light.

  • @dr1v3thru i very much agree....a small softbox beats the purpose, doesnt it?

  • @asjesus1 hmm, it all depends on your power output. and how widely your flash actually spreads the light onto the diffuser, when using monoblocks i found that softboxes were generally softer however! i find that a softbox is simply just cheating.

so i stick to umbrellas and just make things more difficult :P hahaha

  • how many stop loss of light? thanks

  • does it give strong color cast?
