Thanks for the the Video. Haven't seen it for about 25 yrs and I was drunk when I saw it. Made buy all the "He Said" albums I could find. This not Wire but He Said a side project.
I remember hearing this a First Avenue in Minneapolis before a Love and Rockets show. It took months to find the Album but it is well worth it. Now I can see the video. The album rules and a great side project.
A brilliant project. Still evocative of good ol7 alternative pop music. I love AC Marias' voice in the background... 'Pump' immediately grabs your attention, doesn't it? Just listen to the ghostly melody :)
oh my god, I never knew there was a video to this song or any song off of "hail". Thanks for posting. I bought this album on cassette when it first came out and it is one of my all time favorite albums and this one of my all time favorite songs. cheers..
So hold back. Nice. I think that must be AC Marias in the background. Check her work on YouTube aswell, and of course...Wire. Love the DOME work so much aswell. (Graham Lewis and Bruce Gilbert of Wire - fame). Fantastic music in the Eno-spheres. Check it out !
such an excellent track - so cool, so mellow. Thax for posting this nugget. Used to play this in the pre-program of a New Wave Club Night along with Logic System / Unit.
I have have had the oppertunity to listen to Wire live and speak to the group back stage.Graham Lewis has a great personalty and is a fantastic musician.Wire is a pioneering band and full of vitality, electrifyning! If you don´t know them by now too bad. He Said was one of those groups that send shockwaves through the music world. Graham Lewis is one of my all time favorites. Listen to their music.
Not trying to be a snob but this is truly one of the many albums that sound sublime on vinyl through a nice system. I have the CD and the LP and prefer the later. The album is full of deep bass, an MP3 will ruin the experience for you...
I bought this LP on 1988 !!

This was a great album for quiet days, anyone who likes wire seriously needs to check out the solo stuff by Graham Lewis and Colin Newman.
Even a few of Bruce Gilbert's are listenable.
Just saying this, now i'm going to have to dust off the old vinyl...

I'm glad to finally get to hear something from He Said! It's rather difficult finding Wire music, let alone the many side projects.

if getting it from Mute Records directly is not an option for you, look on Soulseek or torrents.
